In the days and weeks that followed the devastating attack on Sol System, a shock wave could be felt in every part of the galaxy, branching out into the universe. Eyes turned to creature that sat on the same chair as Neo Queen Serenity and her daughter for the peace had been shattered. They shook in horror, wondering if they would be next. Nothing came out of Sol with the exception of a tiny ship.
Every place that ship went to find refuge, they were turned away. No one wanted to suffer the wrath of the beast if they were to harbor the refugees. Supplies and hope ran low as they could feel the watchful eyes of the monster on them at all times. Once the captain's injuries had healed, he mentioned that he knew of a place where they could go. It was an old abandoned station that was in the middle of the Maw, a series of black holes circling one another.
Scared, angry, and mourning children entered the rust bucket as the captain took charge. Their last family member had disappeared into thin air. They only had the strange man to rely on. Their training started almost as soon as everyone had chosen a bunk. The days were long and the training was tough. The man showed no mercy to those who had been entrusted to him. He was able to get most of them to turn their feelings into something productive.
After a month or so Sailor Pluto reemerged from where she had gone. Those who knew the woman well had noticed a change. She was cold, distant from the woman they had grown up around. She had no words of comfort for the grieving children. She kept an eye on the gate as well as the training. It felt as if a rift had developed which could never be repaired.
Upon the first mission, a leader arose. The eldest of the twins from Neo Queen Serenity II showed that in the midst of a fire fight, she was able to get her team to safety. Each member of the team received more specialized training to the skill set they had after that. The man nurtured these gifts, some even starting to see him as a father figure. Others had some resentment to the man as he pushed them harder than ever, possibly choosing favorites.
Missions became easier as they slowly started to work as a team. It would not take long before they were in and out of fire fights quicker with less injurious.
