The return of Annabelle and Shizuka meant information had been gathered while they were away. It also meant the rag tag team had very little time to come up with a plan. While their counter part was going for a large boom, this group wanted a more subtle approach with the same end result. Annabelle and Shizuka were able to obtain the information that bureaucrat of sorta was hosting a dinner party which invited some of Death Phantom's forces. They barely escaped notice of their contacts.
The reunion of the group was sort lived as Annabelle wanted to make sure they would all be able to get a handle on what needed to be done. She wanted no screw ups. They were already on thin ice when it came to allies, supplies, and information. They needed to start getting an upper hand or this war would swallow them whole. She wanted their home free, even if it cost her everything. She knew that the others felt the same way.
She invited Max to join them as she wanted his help. His strength would be an added bonus. She had been working on recruiting him for quite some time. Maybe this time, she would change his mind.
She glanced at the other three. Her whole squad of four people. She knew that the odds were stacked far against that. It mattered little to her. She had been up against worse. Or she thought in her book. She crossed her arms under her chest as she took in a deep breath.
"We are going to strike back against the enemy. Shizuka and I found an alien hosting a party in which we can kidnap a couple high raking officers. It will be tricky but I think we can pull it off. It will mean that everyone needs to step out of their comfort zone. We can be wait staff and party goers. We stay on comms and we will be just fine when everything goes south."
She sighed as she closed her eyes. "Max, you will be muscle back up. Andrew and I will pose as the party goers. I think the rest can be wait staff. Sound good?"

Andrew spoke up as he listened to the plan. He shook his head, "Sister, you would be better as a waitstaff. You are better at blending in. I should think Andraste and I be a power couple. After all, it would allow us to mingle while getting more on everyone. Max could easily be our bodyguard. His muscle tone would allow him to pass as much."
He had no problems speaking the truth when he felt that her plans did not make sense. This would allow them a better opportunity to get what they needed. His fingers ached to wring out secrets that many held. It was way past time that he practices what he skills he had as well as a few new ones that he wanted to try out.

Max listened quietly as they spoke of the plan and decided that they had a good plan but the details would need more work. He had planned raids with more moving parts and less gray areas. He looked at Andrew and nodded, that was not a bad idea the thing would be getting them the right amount of influence generated with the right people. He knew someone who could do that but what would require a favor he wasn't willing to give to that woman.
"It will work but I have to ensure I have a favor to give in return. I will not give that favor but they may take that favor from someone else."
He gave a grim smile as he stood there waiting to see what they thought.

Shizuka finally made her way to the gathering place, where Annabelle was speaking with two blond guys she did not know about. One of them was slightly taller than Shizuka and was decently buff. The other man was a lot taller than Shizuka and was a mountain of muscle. He looked like he could break her over his knee with only one hand.
Shizuka leaned against the wall behind Annabelle and listened to her tell the blond guys what was going on. Apparently there was something important about to happen because Annabelle called in the other two guys for support. Since she was only the muscle and not the brains of the outfit, Shizuka hoped that these new guys were trustworthy. The purple-haired girl could not even pretend to understand what was going on, so she let Annabelle do the talking while the part-Venusian listened for the important stuff she would need to know for what sounded like an upcoming mission.

Andraste listened to what was being said and when Max mentioned the woman who could give them the favor she looked at Annabelle when that was mentioned. She had done her recon of this planet and found the one person that could cause someone to crumble with the right words and actions. She looked at Max and then back to Andrew.
"What would she want in compensation, other than you shaking it for her and bringing some customers?"
She laughed as realized that it was only funny to her and maybe Andrew if he picked up the meaning. She hoped it did but if not she would have to let go and see what Annabelle wanted to do with that tidbit of information. She waited to add something to it. She didn't argue the point that they would be recognized but here they wouldn't be recognized. That was the nice thing about being so remote.

Annabelle's eyes narrowed at her brother. The man had a slight point there. She could blend into just about any surrounding. It was part of her training. It was also the trade off for not being close to other people. She knew how to get her information and leave without the other barely remembering or understanding what happened.
She chewed over Max's word. He had a little more to offer than she originally thought. "Who is this person? And what type of favor do they require? I don't trade things without the full details."
She glanced at the youngest member here. She knew the girl didn't talk much. "Shizuka, do you think you can handle waitress duty with me? Or do you feel you need another task or ideas that you would wish to share?"

Max made a face at Andraste's idea of how they would get them the needed from the woman. He found that when he made the deliveries there that it was best not to go inside as the house, which it was quite large, was a maze hedonistic pleasures which sometimes could be a little much for him at times. He didn't want think about what others would say if they could his level of discomfort when he went inside. He looked up at the assembled group.
"She is very particular about how she dresses and conducts herself. She is more interested in fun and pleasures. She shares the fun and pleasure for a price. It isn't always a matter of money with her but if you can please her in some way she will provide her assistance. I'm surprised the Lothario Andrew has never been to that place. I shouldn't be though as you have exercised a large amount of control over him."
He grinned in the direction of Andrew, it was actually the first time that anyone would recall Max grinning and it wasn't pleasant at all. Annabelle, Andrew, Andraste, and Shizuka would recognize it. It was a predatory grin.

Andrew's stomach dropped to his feet with the grin. It was something that he could not decide what was worse, the smile or the large arms. Little did Max know, he was watching him carefully during the meeting. He picked up on slight inflection in his voice. It could not wait to see what would happen there.
"Give a fella a little credit. I flirt with everyone. Plus I have control when I chose. I almost wonder what you think of the place, Max? Does it give you an education for how to please a certain someone? You know my offer is still open?"

Annabelle slammed her fists down on the table. This bickering was not going to work. They needed to get this job done, quickly. There was little time to waste. She glared at the two men. She was about ready to beat both of them.
"Enough, I am ending this now. You two have an issue, take it the fuck outside. The ladies will plan and leave you behind. Understand? Now, we are going to work as a team. Shizuka, answer my question or I will make the decision for you."

Shizuka recalled Annabelle hitting her in order to build the purple-haired youth's cover as a beaten-up fighter looking for help that only Siobhan could provide. She recalled how hard Annabelle could hit. Shizuka did not want punches to start flying for real, so the purple-haired half-Martian would do the smart thing and answer fast.
"I'll take waitress duty. It's the best way for me to help the mission along. With people's eyes on me the others should be able to move around more easily." Shizuka answered Annabelle before the deadline was reached. She knew that her figure attracted the attention of a lot of guys and a few women. It would be simple for the half-Venusian to take advantage of that trait to help the mission along before the fighting started. With almost anyone with a pulse and working eyes ogling her, the others should not endure as much scrutiny as long as they did their jobs... in theory. Things were prone to changing without notice during the course of a mission.
With the question having been clearly answered, Shizuka would revert to silence until called upon again.

Max found the conversation to be boring as it had already covered what was pertinent and beyond that Andrew and his comments were normal. He was not surprised by Annabelle’s outburst and actually felt a little amusement at her ultimatum. She was going to end this? That was amusing as she probably had no idea what she was trying to do other than another pointless fight in a long list of pointless fights that spanned the entirety of sentient life.
“You’re going to end this?”
He rose to his full height, not as an intimidation tool, to be ready for anything Annabelle May attempt to do. He wasn’t going to let some half trained child assault him without being ready. He looked at her. It was like she was seeing the farm hand as everyone else saw him. He was just big and strong. They didn’t view him as smart or even a threat.
“You couldn’t properly end a sandwich let alone anything else. You should stick to intimidating your brother.”
He was ready for her to attack. She might actually lose her temper and that would be amusing to him as well.

Annabelle nodded to her protege. It was nice to have a decent answer from someone. She was going to continue on when Max stood up. He was large with the strength of a bull, yet she did not blink. She took in a deep breath as her words twisted around. She walked right up to him as her eyes narrowed.
"Yes, end a fight before it begins with Andrew. That is what I am ending. I don't do horse play such as this. After all, he was baiting you into action as always. You may scare others into doing what you want, not me."
She placed a finger on his chest. Her voice colder than normal as she kept every muscle ready to spring. It would do her no good to attack when he was expecting it. "Now, you are either a part of this mission or you can get the fuck out. I asked you here as you would be an asset to the team. Choose!"

Andraste had seen enough bullshit in her life to know that conflict now would create conflict later. She reached out and took Annabelle’s hand down.
“Annabelle that’s not leadership and you know better. Let’s not begin on this note. His issues with Andrew are well known and they seem to have come to some sort of truce. I don’t think this is the best way to do this.”
Andraste was adept at many things and this happened to be one of them. All of the people that Du’Avatar had chosen she had never understood why she was one of them. It wasn’t until before everything happened to turn their world upside down. She was calm and despite everything going sideways she kept that calm. She wasn’t going to have Annabelle alienate a potential ally over her husbands flirtations. She would be the one with issues.
“I would think if anyone was going to have issues with Andrew and his flirtations it would be me. I believe we need to get back to the business at hand.”

When Annabelle places her hand on him he was about to show her the folly of such actions but the new person stopped it when she exercised her judgment and stopped him from reacting as well. He was surprised at how this woman not only calmed the situation and also she called out her husband and he stepped back as he didn’t fear Annabelle. He should be wary of Andraste.
“It seems your woman has some sense and she’s right. We can talk later if you still have an issue with me.”
He sat down and looked at the layout of the area. He found several other things of note. It was some of the staff tunnels.
“These staff tunnels...they can be used as an egress. They can also be used to trap us.”

Andrew watched the scene play out. He was not surprised when his sister got angry and called Max out. She hated when others did not focus on what she needed them to. This whole war had her on edge almost constantly. To make matters worse, he was pushing her while she hated being the leader.
His dearest calmed down the strung out woman. He looked between all three as his arms crossed over his chest. He watched the corner of Annabelle's mouth twitch as Max spoke to her. He had a feeling that she needed a different kind of distraction. He would force her to take it, whether or not she agreed.
"I have learned that arguing with my wife only leads to a cold bed. She has a good head on her shoulder. You and I will someday work out our differences."
He looked at the map as well. There was so many different ways things could go wrong from them. His hands itched to feel a blade pressing into someone's throat.
"It is a risk we might have to take. I say we work the various angles. There are the side entrances that will be useful as well as the back."
