Pampering and Relaxing <After Mission - Open Tag>

[Freya Aino]

Freya had just finished her shower and was happy to have all that grime of a 13 hour round trip for a damned mission and half of it spent just doing random slipspace jumps to throw off any pursuers. That was so fucking lame. Her hair was limp and needed washed twice! TWICE!

She had even decided to shave her legs which she hadn’t done for half a day. Then everything else that required shaving and that was what bothered her when they first got their she had missed the technology that she used to get rid of these minor annoyances. She had stopped shaving for a week or two and then decided it was a razor or nothing. She had grown accustom to the razor bow and well that was nice.

She had gotten out of the shower and knew they were one a 72 hour cool down and she was going to take advantage. She was going to give herself a manicure and pedicure. She had downloaded the latest fashion magazines when they were spending their 13 hours of bullshit time flying around to avoid detection. It hadn’t been all bad she had raided the ships wardroom and stole booze and good wine. She wasn’t sharing with anyone. It would be her secret and she would share with Felix. Right now though she pulled out the stuff in her kit bag and smiled heavily at the bottle of Jack Daniels. She hadn’t had that in so long she was going to crack it and pour a small glass while she grabbed her stuff for the manicure and pedicure she had planned for herself. She probably needed a hair cut but she wasn’t about to try that.

She looked at all her stuff and then at the picture of Felix and then the one of her and Felix. She smiled at them and considered those her most cherished objects. She would have traded all her stuff for those two objects and anytime.

She took a tentative sip of the whiskey and let the amber liquid just rest in her mouth while it’s woody taste permeate her senses. She swallowed and sighed. She had missed that taste and would relish this bottle. She didn’t think this would have happened but hey it was great to have small treats. What was unexpected was a chime of someone at her door. She wasn’t expecting anyone. She knew Felix was off doing what he always did which was she had no idea. She would have to ask him one day what he did after missions. She hoped it was him and out a large smile on her face.

“Come in! You don’t have to ring Felix you know you have access!”

She called out as she started to stow her new stuff away.

Felix had found himself drawn here after completing the latest mission, which involved a lot of flying and a lot of slipstream jumping to avoid detection. It was a little over 13 hours of nonstop flying and slipstream jumping, both of which got old after the first couple of hours. They had evaded detection and now everyone was back at the station after striking another blow for freedom against Death Phantom and his followers. The plucky band of royal rebels and their curmudgeonly captain had lived to see another day.

Felix heard Freya's voice coming from within the room and part of him wanted to go elsewhere. He was not sure why he was here when he should be in the armory helping Alex clean and repair everything that had been used during the mission. Still, Freya was here and they had avoided detection... Alex was on the job, so she could pick up the slack Felix had left. Felix entered the room and found Freya wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around her.

"Um... hi there... Freya." Felix croaked out. Why was he so nervous? This was far from the first time he had seen the Princess of Venus like this.

Freya looked at Felix her smile growing and it was warm. He always had a way of making her feel good just by being who he was and that right there was just enough to make everything right in her world.

“Hey Felix! You’re just in time to watch me parade around naked, then put on underwear, and then maybe, just maybe clothes.”

She stopped as she noted his reluctance and shook her head. She decided to tell him something.

“Felix if you come to live with me on Venus, as the king my mother could never settle on, then there will be a bit of an adjustment. You will find that once everything is restored that women and men will be a little more open and frivolous.”

She patted the bed next to her for him to sit. She wanted him comfortable in his own skin. That would take time and work. She would ease him into it.

“I understand, from my visits to Mars, that young men are entered into the planets defense forces. Which half were then sent to join the combined Sol forces.”

She stopped as she stood and grabbed her panties, a non utility set, and dropped her towel and put them on.

“Your reluctance is part of what I love but the whole you is what I love and want.”

She sat back down next to him and took his hand I hers.

The mission had been incredibly chaotic and unlike anything she’d ever done. They had succeeded with ease, but it wasn’t without hiccups. Closing her eyes, she could see the flash backs race through her mind. This was why they had a 72 hour cool-down.

Freya had saved her ass. Sakuya had been busy trying to fight that she let her guard down once, and the blonde woman had covered her. The entire thing happened within seconds, but the moment felt like an eternity.

Now that they were back, Freya had invited Sakuya to her room. Sakuya had obliged, however, she wasn’t entirely comfortable around her yet. She had to thank Freya and she wasn’t going to chicken out.

Twirling her hair about, she stopped at Freya’s door, giving a knock three times... “Freya, it’s me...”

Felix was about to speak to Freya when he recognized the voice on the other end of the door and frowned deeply. Not her. Not now. Felix swore that his older sister used her psychic powers to rub her superiority in his face at any chance she got. Sakuya certainly had a penchant for showing up in the wrong place at the wrong time, which may or may not have been deliberate on her part.

What did Sakuya want? Was she here to brag about yet another power she had just discovered? Or was she here to show off her mastery of a power she already had? Felix had to take a deep breath to avoid letting the infamous Martian temper get the better of him. There was a time and a place for the directed application of overwhelming violence and this was not the time or the place for it.

Felix looked at Freya for advice on what to do next. Any concealment measures that he took would likely be in vain thanks to Super Sakuya's ever-growing arsenal of powers. He would let Freya lend him a helping hand to get through this unpleasant situation.

Freya was surprised about the knock on her door. She looked at Felix and then shrugged at him about Sakuya showing up out of the blue. She wasn't going to turn the woman away but she wasn't going to put on a shirt or cover herself either. She was comfortable and Felix didn't mind her nudity at all.

"Felix...she's your sister. I know a very small portion of your history with your sister but she is your sister. Your only living relative. I can't tell you how to feel about her. I won't tell you either. That is up to you."

She smiled softly at him and decided to tell her to enter.

"Enter Sakuya! Please come in and get comfortable!"

She stood and headed over to her vanity and started to put on makeup. She looked over her shoulder at Felix and felt a slight flush rise to her cheeks. Aphrodite calm her he was so handsome when he was angry.

"Sakuya you are just in time. I was going to curl the ends of my hair and do my nails. Please take off your shoes and shirt. I can help you with a little makeup and then we can paint nails."

She looked at Felix and motioned to the drawer to her right.

"I have some of that brand you favor. I ensured that I scanned it into the replicator so I could replicate it and then stow it to age for a while. You know where I keep the tumblers, please pour yourself a glass and enjoy. I don't know what you want but I have some sweeter stuff for us ladies. I might be a bit rough and tumble but I still like to spoil myself a bit though."

She looked over at Sakuya to see how she was taking her state of undress.

Sakuya’s eyes widened at Freya’s bare form, but she walked in nonetheless. It wasn’t anything she hadn’t seen before and honestly knowing the princess of Venus, it didn’t surprise her. Folding her arms, she chuckled “Well, hi, Felix.” She smirked know that she was interrupting his fun.

Looking to Freya, she simply shrugged “I’ll keep my short and shoes on. I won’t keep you and Felix, but I just wanted to come by and thank you for saving my ass back there.” She admitted out loud “I’m glad that we’re able to work together. It means a lot, Freya.”

Felix saw Sakuya and his first instinct was to frown. She always showed up at the wrong times, most likely deliberately thanks to her psychic powers. What was worse was that Sakuya seemed to get some perverse pleasure in outdoing him and reminding him of who mother's favorite always was.

Those psychic powers.

They had been a source of contention on many occasions because of how she always managed to outdo him without lifting a finger. No matter how hard he tried, his older sister could always one-up him without any real effort. Super Sakuya would outdo him and bask in the praise of the fawning courtiers who always surrounded their mother hoping to rise in her favor by flattering her and Princess Sakuya.

Felix was always one step behind Super Sakuya, but he was not going to mope about it. Not any more. He would get off his "mopey ass" (as William called him and Sakuya undoubtedly agreed with the name) and actually train his powers.

Sakuya had invited herself in, but today Felix was not upset. Instead he would focus on at least catching up to her in terms of psychic strength. Once he attained that goal, he could worry about outdoing her.

"Thanks Freya." Felix said to Freya. He was still a little bothered about her state of undress, but in her room it was her rules. Besides, today Felix wanted some alcohol to mark the start of his new beginning.

Felix grabbed the brandy bottle by the neck and grabbed a tumbler from the drawer. He poured out a shot and chugged it. He then set it down and faced Sakuya.

"Hi there Sakuya. It's good to see you." Felix said to her without sarcasm. He quickly poured another shot and chugged it too.

Freya was happy that Felix wasn’t going to renew his fight with his sister here. That was quickly replaced with him taking two quick shots and then greeting his sister quite civilly, which was a surprise to her and caused a small smile to curve her lips every so slightly.

“I wouldn’t have let you die Sakuya. That would be bad karma for the rest of my life. The fact is we don’t leave family behind and as far as I’m concerned we’re going to be family one day.”

She smiled as she started to apply a little light eyeliner and then some lipstick. She looked at Felix and smiled as she poured herself a health glass of the brandy as she took her first tentative sip. She savored it as it was nice.

“Sakuya I’m going to insist you at least let me paint your nails. After all you don’t really wear any makeup and I’m not sure if you have any. I’ve got plenty if you’d like some to use.”

She started to open some of the compartments on her vanity to reveal other makeup she had five or six of the same and most of it unopened. She smiled at Sakuya.

“Felix what do you think of the brandy? I know it’s one you like, well not exactly but a good facsimile.”

"The brandy?" Felix inquired of Freya. He definitely liked the stronger stuff, but the beverage he had now was pretty good because it was a balance of strong and smooth. Getting the flavor of brandy right was a delicate balancing act. Get it too strong and it would taste like some of the coolant William's spacecraft had running through its engines. Get it too weak and the beverage would not be worth calling brandy.

"It's great, Freya. I don't need to drink the stuff that strong enough to throw you on your back all of the time." Felix said to her, ignoring Sakuya's presence not out of malice, but instead to focus on his hostess. He was no longer irrationally angry at his sister but was still determined to one day surpass her as a psychic. That would take some doing and a lot of time, but Felix was willing to make the effort if it mean finally being able to equal her, if only for a moment.

Felix turned to Sakuya while holding the brandy. He took a quick third shot and set down the empty glass before speaking to her.

"It might not be my place to ask, but would you like something to drink?" Felix asked Sakuya.

Sakuya smirked to Freya “I’m not apposed to nails as long as it doesn’t affect shooting.” She winked before looking to Felix. It was no wonder why he liked her so much. The Venusian was beautiful and determined. Felix was a hothead and focused. They made a good team and kept each other grounded. Now that she finally saw this, she had settled a bit regarding their romance.

With a happy smile, she shrugged “I wouldn’t mind a brandy, but I can help myself if you just show me where it is. No stress.” She spoke softly while to tame her hair “honestly, I’d like something to take the edge off. And I want lipstick...and maybe eyelashes? Something to make <i>him</i> notice...”

Freya was surprised by the nails. She smiled though it was nice to see that Sakuya wanted something done. That was an admission in itself. Always a good day when she could do someone else’s makeup besides her own.

She looked at Felix offering a drink to his sister. He was being very polite. She wondered why but wouldn’t push or ask until he was ready to tell her.

“Oh no. Felix will pour you one. He knows his way around the room quite well and he is closer to the glasses.”

She rose from her seat after setting the curlers, she had found ancient ones on a planet and just had to have them. Once up she moved to allow Sakuya to sit down.

“Now let’s see what best suits your complexion and just enhance it.”

She hadn’t missed Felix compliment about the brandy and she smiled happily at him.

“Thank you Felix! I happy you’re enjoying it. I know yo like it and keeping some around for you is no trouble at all.”

She could disagree about the strong stuff. It was a special occasion when you drank it.

“The stronger stuff tends to get me in a mood to drag you back here and not let you loose until we both pass out.”

She smiled with knowing and hungry smile.

“So Sakuya I want you to pick what you think would suit you and then I’ll show you how to keep it simple. I know shrine maidens and priestess have a different idea of make up but this is more to entice and enhance.”

[Felix Hino]

"Yeah, I've got this." Felix seconded Freya's assertion that he would pour his older sister a glass of whiskey. He had no problem with the older Hino being here because he had decided to let the worst parts of the grudge go. Even if Sakuya used her super-duper Hino mind-reading magic (which she almost certainly would), she would detect no trace of malice in her brother.

Besides, he had Freya's attention.

However, Sakuya had William's attention. If the two hit it off and dated, it would be strange. If the two of them actually married, calling the Tenoh "brother-in-law" would be even more strange.

Never mind that. The thought of William marrying into the Hino family made Felix want to drink the whiskey intended for his sister.

Felix carefully chose a glass, set it down on a smooth and wide service, and poured Sakuya a glass of whiskey. He then walked over and presented it to her.

"Here you go." Felix said without any trace of condescension or disdain for the older Hino.

Freya was impressed with restraint that Felix was showing toward his sister. She had similar thoughts about rushing to the infirmary and smothering her brother but would wait until Ada gave him a clean bill of health. She was concerned for him but she also knew that her fussing over Liam would cause him some embarrassment and frustrate Ada. She refrained and spent that time with Felix.

“Felix I was thinking about some holodeck time. I can still reserve it as I’ve checked the schedule and we could go on a walk or something mundane. This after resting a bit from just getting back.”

As she spoke she was applying makeup to Sakuya. She really was a beautiful woman. Whether she realized it or not. She pulled her hair back and used a tie to keep it off her face. She used some eyeliner to make Sakuya’s eyes look bigger. Oh yes and a little bit of purple to accentuate her eye color. Now this was simple.

“Hands on the table please.”

She was going to clean, buff, and polish her nails. After this she should like the look.

Sakuya felt the gentle tugging and prodding of her skin as Freya did her makeup. Sakuya seldomly wore makeup, as she felt like she was wearing a mask. Still, she let the blonde do her up.

She noticed how attentive Felix was for Freya, which made her smile. He may be a jackass to her, but at least he treated his girlfriend with respect and kindness.

“Okaaaay...” she mumbled, setting her hands onto the table.
