The air was cool as the breeze danced across his bare forearms. His eyes darted back and forth with a mischievous glint. He tossed a dagger in his palm as his steps were slow and deliberate. He had released his prey as they started to resist his questions so he decided to give them freedom, only to take it away again. His skills were a little rusty when it came to extracting information however it was coming back fast. It was nice to get some practice before the real targets come to play.
Andrew knew the others had a lot of questions on the trip back to the farm. He shrugged as he gave vague answers. The look in his sister’s face said it all. He went rogue as he wanted to get more than what they came for. There were rumors as he did his undercover work with his wife which he wanted to see if they were true. It was always best to get the information right from the source.
Once they landed, he kissed Andraste long and slow as before he whispered that he would shower her with affection when he was done. He pushed the bodies in a hand cart all the way to his small side house. There was plenty of space and tools to make his interrogation be a success.
Andrew tied up each of them in separate areas as the dawn approached. He leaned against a pillar as he started to carve a small figure into a piece of wood. He watched as those he captured slowly came too. He explained the situation they were in. He was hardly surprised when he was met with resistance. He chuckled at them with a dark look in his eyes.
The shadow part of him emerged with the thoughts of how he would extract the information. It was the part he hid behind smiles and his flirtatious comments. A beast that lurks just under the surface which watches the world around him. He kept it chained while around his wife which is why he insists for her to stay away. He would hate for it to hurt her by accident.
It would be a few days of questions and pain to the captives. He started slowly as he twisted knives into the flesh. He took breaks to wash his tools and grab a little nourishment or a nap. On a rare occasion, he spotted the redhead who stole his heart walk down the path. Brief words were exchanged as she delivered some food.
Tonight was all about playing his favorite game. He let his prey loose as everyone should be asleep. Annabelle and Shizuka were guarding the farm as the heads up was given. He knew they would try anything to get away from him. He found it rather amusing as their lives were basically forfeited to him. A deep chuckle left his throat again as he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye. He took off in a light jog as he readied to throw his knife.

Zowie’s eyes opened suddenly as she sat straight up in bed. She rubbed her temples as something weighed heavily on her chest. Her eyes darted to the clock in her room. It was still early and yet she didn’t want to go back to sleep. Her legs swung over the side of the bed as she got up. She wrapped a shawl around her shoulders after she left the warmth of the house.
She shivered as the cool breeze passed through the thin material of her dress. The darkened sky made her sigh as she walked across the sleeping fields. Her eyes glanced upwards as a smile crossed her lips. Her lungs filled with air as a sense of peace. She missed a figure moving behind her as her eyes closed to wish upon a star.
There was sudden pressure on her throat as her arms were pinned to her sides. Her voice was caught in her throat as a deep voice pierced the night sounds. “You are going to take me to the ship and get me off of this stupid rock, now!”
Zowie felt her eyes weld up as she walked in the direction of the ship that Annablle often came from. She was unsure if it was correct right now. She could only hope that it was true.

A set of eyes always ignored watched the scene unfold over the past few days. She was impressed with the vigor and stamina the human man possessed when it came to getting people to talk. She had watched from the rafters as he worked. He was skilled. He wasn’t just some person looking for job. She had seen that in his movements. All restrained to keep up the facade of he was just a nice man who needed the work. She knew better. He was a beast and his mate knew he was a beast and she had a good leash on him. She watched and waited while he played his game. Oh well this was not how the game was meant to go. She would end this game now. The priestess was in danger and to head off the death of the one named Andrew she would have to act. This was not according to any plan. He was playing a game but that game was coming to an end now. She had to intervene.
She dropped from her perch in the tree landing silently and stalked toward the person holding the priestess by her throat. She stopped. What was that glow?

Du’Avatar had finally made it to where she needed to be at and she wasn’t happy about having to come to some world where the tech level was lower than that of a see and say. She grumbled as she had to walk until out of sight of the town and as the sun sank she allowed herself to hover and speed up her journey. She still hated this ball of mud. They probably had people like uncle-brother and sister-mom. She laughed to herself as the farm came into sight and she saw it was exactly what she expected. A house and barn with fields. She hated this as it reminded her of where she grew up for a time. Oh people were awake. This should be good. She hovered and stopped to allow people to notice her but was instantly on guard. That was not how people acted and that guy looked as if he had been under the gentle attentions of Andrew. She didn’t hesitate as a spike came up from beneath him and impaled him through his center.
“Thank the machine goddess my aim was true.”
She teleported you catch that ones prisoner as she watched the impaled figure giving his last convulsions. She whispered a small spell to apply stasis to the man for his abuse of the woman.
“Are you ok child?”

Andrew saw the flash of light as he stalked through the forest. He went to the location as he noticed one of his targets had grabbed Zowie. He sucked in his breath as he knew the big man would kill him 20 times over.
He was about to throw the dagger to save the woman when Du'Avatar showed up and impaled the man. He should have known their leader would have shown up. The timing was perfect as he could stay in the shadows. He headed off to find his other target. A smile crossed his face as Zowie was in good hands. His face frowned as the young woman should have been fast asleep. He went to go see what his sister and her apprentice were up to.

Zowie felt the grip on her lessen as a spray of blood covered her back. Her eyes were as wide as a doe's as she turned toward the voice. The body hang in the air as the blood droplets hung around it. Her mouth dropped open in a silent scream as she backed away. Her eyes glued on the body, deaf to the words asked by the strange woman.
Her legs carried her backwards as a flash of images flooded her mind. It was of a place that she did not know. Bodies in various states of unmoving littered the ground. She closed her eyes in hopes of willing them away. Her head shook as she took off running, all she could see was blood, ash, and bodies.

Annoyance was the first thing Du’Avatar felt as Andrew took off. She sighed as she had the girl safe from her assailant for the time being. She cast a quick spell to suspend her in a sleeping position and decided to ping Annabelle. That should bring this to an end. A thought occurred to her, what was this child’s mind like and what did it contain. Another simple technomancy spell gained her access and when she gained it her interest grew for this child. Well wasn’t this just something. Now she had some new data and would examine it later. She was pleased she had found her two people here.
“Once Andrew returns child we shall all have a long conversation. Until then rest.”

Andraste had work up with the absence next to having grown beyond two hours. This was an old pattern. They had worked together for so long that they would get up run a mission. They left a note if it was going to longer than two hours. She knew Annabelle and Andrew took some low value hostages to get information on government activity. It would help them plant the right people in government to start making a difference against the early signs of corruption. Annabelle and Andrew were extremely skilled at shifting government stances. These people’s disappearance would trigger an election for their replacement. When it was put out Andrew would scout the candidates and find out which way they leaned and how they would treat the people. Once something was discovered that would allow them to be corrupted they would either poison the persons campaign or eliminate them. They had done this on many planets. They were the piremienant subject matter experts on how to do it n several years time just enough to make the planet neutral and therefore not able to do anything. After that happened then three of the opposition had scandals so terrible they were instantly jailed. Them depending on how they held elections or picked members ensured the balance was always on who and in favor of the side they supported. She estimated the time and well it was about two hours. The stars had moved since they had went to bed. She would go out looking for him. She dressed and armed herself and then dropped out of their window. She landed quietly as she could and took off toward where she had found they did these things to the poor saps they caught. It was a good plan to get people who have the populace’s best interests.

Andrew tossed his knife in his hand as he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. His footsteps stopped as he crouched down to watch. One of his captives was running towards the barn. A malicious smile crossed his lips as the captive would find nothing good there. He stood up as he jogged in the same direction. He paid no mind to what was happening in other places of the farm at the moment.
His pace quickened as he watched the man dart behind the building. He went the opposite way as he caught up with him. Fear could be seen in the other's eye as he saw Andrew with a dark smile across his face.
"And you thought you could get away from me. Tisk, tisk as I let you out and this is how you repay me back. I will not be nice again."
The man back peddled as Andrew threw a dagger at the man's feet as he ran away. Andrew picked up his dagger as took off in a fast sprint. He threw it again as he hit the man square in the back. The man stumbled into the dirt as Andrew came up behind him.
"You could have given more of a challenge here. I am rather disappointed. I suppose that I have to drag your sorry ass back for more questioning. There is lots that I still want to know."

Annabelle had been wondering around the farm. She had noticed that their leader was around. Her eyes narrowed as something was happening, most likely involved her brother. She took off in a light jog. She needed to know what was happening as well as if she needed to yell at her brother. He was often getting into trouble of some kind.
She took in a deep breath as approached, seeing the farm girl suspended she looked at Du'Avatar with a question in her eyes. She found that it was strange. She also wanted to know about the body laying on the ground.
"What happened here?"

Andraste moved through the shadows swiftly and as quietly as she could without attracting attention. She heard someone run by her which was followed by the tell-tell glint of metal. A knife and one that was thrown from behind. That should be Andrew coming along. She would trip him and race him for the prisoner. She was absolutely bored on this farm. The trips to town weren’t cutting it at all. As he came loping by she swept his legs, jump on him, and whispered.
“I’m going to get him first....,”
She popped off him and gave him a tag like a kid would in a game.
“Tag your it!”
She declared only loud enough for Andrew to hear and took in the direction he was headed.

Josephine looked at Annabelle and frowned. The fact that she didn’t know what had happened was not good news at all.
“You can’t tell?! Your brother. He happened here and drug this poor child into his nonsense he likes to perpetrate. I didn’t train him or you to have you involve farm girls who would fall victim to Andrew’s wiles.”
She had been stationary but was now hovering over to Annabelle but decided to ask if she knew who the girl was, truly was and not a farm girl.
“Do you know who that girl is Annabelle?”

Andrew suddenly found himself on his back as he looked up into the eyes of Andraste. His eyes narrowed as she looked down at him. He tilted his head to the side as she declared a race. He laughed as she added another layer to his fun little game. She always knew how to keep things rather interesting.
He sat up as she tagged his shoulder. A chuckle leapt from his lips as he got off the ground. He had two objectives now. Things had gotten a lot more interesting indeed. He had found a worthy opponent in his game of cat and mouse. He wondered how this little mouse would far with two cats after him.
He took of at a light jog around the way the other man went. He held onto his dagger as his eyes looked for his wife. His breath came out even as he saw the figure dart into the barn. The silly man thought he could get the upper hand in a large space. He knew that barn well as various booby traps were there. He chuckled as he snaked his way behind that man.
His eyes darted through the shadows as he waited for the movement of either person. His footsteps crossed each other as he brushed the dirt floor. There he saw it, as he threw both of his daggers at the man, missing them by a hair.

Annabelle crossed her arms over her chest as she look at their leader. Her brother might be careless though he was not that careless enough to put Zowie in any real danger to begin with. It spoke with the time of day as everyone should be sleeping. Her feet took a wide stance as one of her hips jetted out.
"You know as well as I that this girl came out on her own. Andrew didn't mean for her to get hurt while playing a game at night. Though it will be fun to have this hanging over his head for some time." She rolled her eyes at the next part, "Andrew's wiles makes anyone faint of heart fall for him. It is all apart of his charm."
She raised an eyebrow at Du'Avatar. There was a hidden meaning behind the words. Unlike her brother, she hated these games. She closed the gap between them as she looked between the two of them.
"What do you mean she is not a simple farm girl? Who else could she be?"

She couldn’t believe how obtuse Annabelle really was in a universe where every single person was hiding who they were she didn’t remember the Lanix Adoth brief and their secondary race the Araxians. This didn’t node well at all.
“The High Priestess of Lanix Adoth’s daughter. She can bring peace to the conflict on their planet. Even though it’s still hotly contested she can stop that and bring peace to their planet. She’s alive and it’s her. You tell me why this planet isn’t secretly singing the praises of her Highness of the Moon? The mission doesn’t change until we win.”
She looked at Annabelle and wait for an answer.
