In Japanese, Setsuna means clam, snow. Other possibility is vegetable, greens, depending on how it is written.

Many people view Setsuna as a calm, serious, level headed woman. She often listens to others before speaking her own mind. She often advises others in what she feels is the right course of action, especially when she is passionate about it. She may come off as bossy or hardheaded. She is often seen as cold or distant with others around her. This has given her a stronger appearance that allows her to hide a nervous side.

She hides much under the calm exterior. She works on molding herself to the duty that was given to her as being the perfect guardian. She has a long memory and never forgets those who have crossed her. Anyone who finds themselves on the wrong side of her will find themselves looking over their shoulders. She has been known to plot out her revenge for years in advance, often striking when the person’s guard is down.

There is a part of her that most never see. Deep down, she is a hopeless romantic. She welled up a little when her friends got married to the man of their dreams. She found that she fell in love easily though she found that many only wanted the title and power that came with it. She gave up on every finding that happiness. She let her heart harden to the advances of men.

Her cold shoulder has gotten worse since the death of her friends. She hardly speaks to those she once considered her nieces and nephews. This helps her hide the pain she feels from the loss as well as the fear of what would happen should she fail to lead them to victory. She works on molding herself to her current duty of leading the resistance against Death Phantom. She hides the fact that she wants to be forgotten by those around her. She often dreams of the day when she fades from the minds of man while guarding the Gate of Time.

Setsuna has a long, tall body with gentle curves. Her skin is a deep olive color that is common with those whose origin is Greece. Her dark garnet eyes often show ancient wisdom and secrets unknown from watching over time for millenniums. She has high cheek bones with full lips. Her nose helps draw attention to her eyes. She has long dark olive green hair that looks black in most lighting. Her hair falls just above her knees as her long bangs draw attention to her eyes once again. Her muscles are well toned from years of fighting. Often, she is posed to strike for she never knows when an enemy might strike.

She has changed her look since the days of Crystal Tokyo. No longer does she dress in the latest fashions but practical and functional to living her new life. Her hair is often pulled away from her face in a bun with three chopsticks which she affectionately calls Kamikazari. While taking inventory of supplies as well as general life in the Maw, she will often wear flats, a dark pencil skirt, and a white button down with a lab coat. When she is invited on missions, which is not often, or takes shore leave, which is less often, her dress is more like the children’s and the captains. She will wear battle suits as well as a loose fitting clothing that she can easily move around in.

Innate Abilities:
She can read the time stream from practically anywhere. A band of maroon energy will spread across from her. She can will another to see images from it for a short time. Her connection to the timeline fades the longer that she is away from the Gate of Time, even taking more energy to read the timeline.

She controls the time and space around her, usually by speeding it up or slowing it down. For example, she can slow down an attack to dodge it or speed up time to pass quickly through an area. She will focus on an object, mostly herself, to help navigate or else she will became hypnotized by the events around her. She has taken more liberties when it comes to this power in order to secure success against Death Phantom.

She can teleport herself and those in a five foot radius. She bends space around her to get from point a to point b. She overlaps the points which usually takes the form similar to that of the Gate of Time.

She allows others to travel through time. She hands them a key from the belt around her waist which allows them safe passage. She uses her powers, to a certain extent, to guide them through the Fourth Dimension. She can never, herself, travel through time.

She can stop time, itself. The results of the of using the forbidden power are severe. She essentially experience a death like state while being transported to the Underworld. She will spend a long time until her punishment is over with. This usually happens when a member of the senshi reforms from evil or is revived by the Ginizuishou.

Transformation: Her sailor crystal comes out as the planet can be seen behind her. She holds her crystal high above her head as she shouts out, “Pluto, Eternal Make Up!”. An hourglass is placed behind her filled with green sand. The hourglass starts to spin, gaining speed as it grows bigger. It encases her as images from different parts of the timestream. It breaks open, pouring forth the green sand revealing her in her eternal form. She will stand in front of a clock face with Roman Numerals with she stand posed to strike as the Garnet Rod is held in front.

Appearance: She wears the typical eternal Fuku. She has a white body suit lined with light body armor with white gloves that go up to her elbows. Her collar and skirt are black in color with her underskirt taking on a gray tone as it is transparent. Her pauldrons is a translucent gray bubble with black ringlets at the end of her gloves. There is a black ribbon wraps around her waist ending in a point that is covered with star. A maroon bow with a black star covers with chest with a black bow is on the back with long ribbons that reach the tops of her boots. The choker is black with a star in the middle with white boots with a v and a black ribbon encircling the top ending in a star which match her belt. She has a gold studded earrings that match her gold tiara with a garnet crystal.

Powers:

Special Powers/Duty as a Guardian

-Dark Dome Close: She is able to seal off passage to other worlds. She used this to close of Pharoah 90 at the behest of Sailor Saturn.

-Time Stop: This is her forbidden power. It affects the very fabric of time. Time will completely stop for a couple of minutes until her death comes.

Attacks:

-Dead Scream: The Garnet Rod gather energy as it stands on its own. Pluto will appear beside it grabbing hold of it. She places it on her side as she spins around. The energy is released in the shape of a planet. She whispers her attack.

-Chronos Typhoon: She separates the Garnet Orb from the rod. She holds the orb out in front of her as she whispers the attack again. Energy swirls around the orb as it grows stronger, it will knock enemies off their feet.

-Garnet Ball: She whispers the name of the attack as holds the Garnet Orb above her head. It will float in midair as energy gathers around it, creating a round shield no larger than 10 feet in diameter around her and her allies. Continuous attacks weakens, it until it fades or Pluto wills it away.

Eternal Powers

-Twilight: A swirl of fog burst forth from the Garnet Orb as she whispers the attack. It spreads among the enemies while blinding them. In the fog, the enemies sees that dead ones which will freeze them in place. It feels super real as the dead ones as they beckon them towards the afterlife. The fog drains them of their life energy, killing them until it is dispelled.

-Chains of Destiny: She separates the Garnet Orb from the rod as she holds it out in front of her. Chains burst forth from the ground, trapping the enemy while dragging them down to the Underworld unless they break free. The more they struggle, the quicker they are dragged down.

-Mistress Soul Strike: She will pull out one of her Kami Kazari hair ornaments. A soft garnet glow will form at the very tip of it as she whispers her attack. She launches it at her intended target like a dart. When it strikes, the target will fall to their knees from sudden weakness as the Kami Kazari is buried in their chest. They will feel tired and drained as the soul is pulled from their body. If the target does not have a soul, it will drain its life force. If the hair ornament remains in long enough, the target will die.

Senshi Weapon: Garnet Rod

The actual rod itself was a gift from her father, Chronos, when she first learning how to use her powers. She quickly learned how to yield it in battle. Before she was going take up her duty, she took a quest in order to her the Garnet Orb which rested on top. She uses the orb to channel her powers, making them stronger than most of the other senshi.

Since the return of Death Phantom, Setsuna has learned a new trick in order to defeat him. She has three, long decorated hair ornament styxs. She uses all three for attacking whether it is hand to hand combat or ranged. When she fights hand to hand, she will hold all three together and use the for slash or stabbing. She can also wedge them between her fingers like claws for slashing

Each of the styxs has a different name as well as imbued with the element of time. Every time a victim is slashed, cut, or injured from the styxs, it caused them to age rapidly. An example of this is: if an arm is slashed, the victim will have the joints stiffen as well as become less flexible like it having arthritis. If a shin is hit, the area will hurt whenever weight is put on it. The bone will become brittle as if deteriorates like when an elderly person has not taken enough calcium. .

Extra: Setsuna spends most of her time at the Gate of Time. She reads the timeline to get the advantage against Death Phantom. She helps plan attack against the Death Corps. It is often that she will speed up time around the station in order to get the jump on the enemy. She will often fight with Captain Jacob Marconi.

Setsuna is the oldest of the daughters of Chronos. She has a sister who ferries dead souls to the underworld. Setsuna grew up around the ancient gods such as Zeus and Apollo while she lived in the underworld. Most of her days, she explored the world around her as shades, who were her nursemaids, kept on eye on her. When she was about five years old, a maroon band of energy flowed in front of her. She asked one of her nursemaids why mortals always kneel when praying to the gods.

After that moment, Chronos called Setsuna to his side. Her father explained to her the reason for her birth, it was to protect time itself when he was no longer around. Over the course of the next century, she learned about different aspects of time and what means to have control over the flow. Her understanding of her powers deepened as well as the task she was assigned.

During this time of training, she learned that her father had created a sister who ferry souls across to the underworld. Being so young, her curiosity got the better of her as she went to see this family member. She was surprised that her sister was getting just as intense training as she was. Setsuna was about to leave when Zenrei knocked her out of her hiding spot in the bushes. After introductions, the girls wondered about the Underworld, exploring the vast regains it held. Once Zenrei took up her position as Ferrywoman to the underworld, Setsuna would spend lazy afternoons riding the boat.

At the start of the Silver Millennium, Chronos called Setsuna to his side once more though this time it looked like he was weaker. He told her that it was time she take up the mantle of guarding time however she must complete the trial. The task was simple retrieve one of three talismans that will summon a mystical object as well as reign destruction when the time comes. She nodded to her father as she answered that she was ready. Her father gave her Garnet Rod, which was forged by Hepaetus, to house the object.

She crossed far into the Fourth Dimension as was instructed by Chronos. Little did she know, the trial would test her very soul. What she found there was the heart of Chaos which ate away at her very core. She found herself falling for the trick to use her powers to help it escape. Just as she was about to say the releasing spell, a pure white light like she had never known allowed her to see a vision of what would happen should she fail. She regained her will as she drove the evil out of her domain.

Instead of going back to inform her father, she felt ashamed of what almost happened. She would learn after she got to the Gate of Time that it was formation of the Ginzuishou that saved her. Her time of solitary would allow herself to forgive the arrogance she had when first undertook the trial. It was then and there that she made a promise to herself that she would never allow herself to be manipulated by another.

During the time of transition, she placed various traps and alarms in the eternal fog laced world. She, on the rare occasion, left her post to visit her family or spent time in the arms of a lover. Chronos was pleased the first time his eldest daughter chose to come see him. They talked long about her journey to the far corner of the Fourth Dimension. Somehow, the lingering effects of her guilt were completely washed away as Chronos explained that the light was part of her calling to help protect to mortal realm long after the gods were all but forgotten. A tear welled up in her eye as she knew the time would be soon. He spoke of how proud he was of her as well to be weary of the timeline, never straying too far for her ability to read it would decrease. She thanked her father for the advice. It saddened her heart as she watched those who were once worshipped fade.

During the raise of the Moon Kingdom, Queen Serenity stumbled upon the fog ridden domain. During the first of these meetings, Queen Serenity gave her three taboos. She must not travel through time, She must not abandon her post at the door, and she must not stop time. Queen Serenity would not tell a soul that Setsuna existed in this space. She would come to visit the solitary guardian every so often for advice on what to do. Setsuna would often answer her questions in riddles for she would never reveal the future. She was sadden as she watched the great kingdom fall.

She watched as time flowed by until a pink haired girl stumbled upon her domain. She was shocked to see another besides the queen. She grew quite close to this girl, almost as if she was a daughter. She was surprised one day the little girl stole a key from her to travel back in time after an attack happened on her home. She was even more surprised when she brought others back with her to the 30th century. Evil infected the little girl by a monster who stole her away from those who loved her. Setsuna left her post for the first time, breaking taboo when Black Lady attacked her home. She stopped time in order to have Black Lady not combine the two Ginzuishous. Her death caused Small Lady to become the next senshi of the Moon.

When she is revived by Neo Queen Serenity for saving her only daughter, the new queen lifted a restriction of never abandoning her post. Setsuna thanked the queen as she would remain unless needed by the senshi in times of dire need. Setsuna only left her post two more times help stop Pharaoh 90 and Sailor Galaxia after she killed her sister and took star seeds from everyone across the galaxy.

She protected the timeline until the day Neo Queen Serenity called her to the Crystal Palace. She was shocked by the announcement that the planets would all be terraformed. Each of her friends would rule their respective planets in the name of the Crystal Tokyo. At first, she tried to refuse such a task, stating that her post was more important. The queen wished for her to take this gift for it was a show of appreciation for all the years of service. Setsuna could not refuse the request after that.

She hated being the queen of Pluto. She found the responsability to be a little too much at times as she tried to balance ruling her people and keeping her post. As time went on, she all but abandoned the Gate of Time. She would check the timeline, barely noticing that her connection to Time itself had faded. Unlike the other queens, she did not start a family. Minako, Haruka, and Michiru would often set her up. There was a couple of times she came close however for one reason or another they didn't work out.

Than the fateful day came. She was shocked when she felt Earth tremble under her feet as she ran late for the birthdays of Neo Queen Serenity and Neo Queen Serenity II. She felt the Earth tremble as she ran to where her friends were. She was in shock at the demon who was at the head of the attack, an enemy long since dead. She barely registered when the kings shouted out to save the children. She acted on instinct as she shielded the children from an attack as she watched those she cared about slain right in front of her. Her memory of the time after she rescued the children was missing.

She had pieced together what was told to her by the children and the captain. She refused to watch what unfolded in front of her eyes again. After rescuing the children, she went with Neo Queen Serenity II down to the cells. There was a man there that had been imprisoned for selling the security of the system. The situation was explained to him however it took harsh words from Setsuna to make him come to a decision. She was pleased that he chose to help. Setsuna lead him to where the children were. It was than that Death Phantom who came from the ship. She watched as each of her friends were slain. She was going to attack after a grand speech when she was stunned and carried to the ship.

Once she recovered, she sank to the ground. The children surrounded her however she shouted at them as they all left her alone. She disappeared to her post, leaving the tragedy far behind her. Time for her seemed to stop almost completely. She did what she was vowed never do again. She went through the gate, into the fourth dimension. Her travels took her took the deepest, darkest corners. It was there that was finally broke down with tears streamed down her face. It seemed fitting that it was near the same where she almost succumbed to darkness.

She had no idea how long she had stayed in that position. A shadowy figure appeared to her. She took little notice until it spoke to her. She was shocked by who it was, the very being who made her lose her way in the first place. It was soon revealed that it was the god of dreams, Morpheus. He explained that long ago her father needed to make sure she was ready for her duty, much like her sister, by tricking her with demon of dreams. She was shocked as this figure talked about how this demon went further than he thought was ever possible. He was truly sorry that it took the Ginzuishou to cleanse the chaos infected creation. He sat next to her as he explained how sorry he was it took so long for him to explain what happened. She forgave one of the last remaining gods. There was a closeness that had developed, should she need help in the coming days, he would be there.

They talked for a long time, most of which she forgot on her journey back to the gate. She remembered the soft kiss he gave her before disappearing. She had lots to think about, even coming to grips with being the last senshi of Sol. By the time she reached her post again, she had realized that her duty had changed. She made a vow that she would do everything possible to take down the monster that killed her friends as well as making sure her connection never got to the point it did before the attack.

She came up with a plan as she watched the timeline with great care. She would not share for things had a way of being in flux when it came to the future. She returned to the captain and children with surprised looks on their faces. The only thing she said was that they needed to grow stronger to take back their home.

Over time, she would spend hours at the Gate checking the Timeline and adjusting her long term plan. She, at times, intervened with the training of the children due to the harshness. She kept her distance for she still felt the pain and guilt of losing her friends every time she was around them. She developed a new skill with ornament hair stixs as well as sharpening unused fighting skills in the holodeck. Only on an occasion would she use it for pleasure. She and the captain would fight often at first about the course of training as well as snipe at one another about almost everything. Over time, they came to an uneasy truce which the children caught on to. She kept her distance most of the time until they started to invite her to join them on the rare occasion. The ice that gripped her heart as well as the guilt very slowly melting away. She worked on keeping the ice around her for when all of this was over, her only thought was to disappear to become just a memory to everyone.
