~Knight/Senshi~
Character Name: Hayate Tenoh
Knight/Senshi Name: Sailor Uranus
Alignment: Neutral Good with Lawful tendencies
Disposition: Adventurous, Confident
<-- Civilian Information -->
Name: Hayate Tenoh
Name meaning: Hayate is Japanese for "Gale."
Age: 16 years old.
Height: 5' 10" (6' 0" with heels)
Weight: 145 lbs.
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Blonde
Birthday: January 22nd
Zodiac: Aquarius
Blood type: B
Strengths:
Adventurous- Hayate is eager and willing to venture into the unknown. She is one of the trailblazers of the royal children. If there is a new place to explore, Hayate will be among the first to volunteer to go in.
Confident- Hayate never doubts herself or her abilities. No matter what the situation, she always presses forward. This goes double if she is in a combat situation.
Risk Taker- Hayate knows that one cannot get anywhere in life without taking risks. She has no hesitation about charging into uncharted territory or rushing into a fight. This is both an asset and a liability.
Weaknesses:
Overconfident- Hayate's confidence sometimes threatens to be her undoing. She often charges ahead, relying on luck and/or teammates to bail her out of trouble.
Proud- Hayate is proud of who and what she is. However, this means that she is reluctant to ask for help when she is in trouble. She wants to be seen as strong like her mother before her, not dependent on others.
Reckless- Hayate lives in the moment and rarely plans ahead. When combined with her propensity to becoming overconfident, she can occasionally get in over her head. It is times like that when she needs help, even if she is too proud to admit it.
Favorite Food: Fast food, particularly hamburgers. On the healthy side, she likes an occasional salad or serving of tofu.
Least Favorite Food: Fish.
Hobbies: Racing, flying her custom starfighter, the Kyofu ("Strong Wind" in Japanese), modifying and maintaining the Kyofu, hiking.
Favorite Color: Any shade of blue, but navy blue is her favorite.
Phobia: Being stuck in her mother's shadow for all of her life.
<-- Personality -->
Hayate is not a scholar or a homebody. She lives in the moment. She has few plans for the future because planning is not her strong suit. Somehow she still manages to come out of predicaments unscathed.
Hayate is adventurous. Her mother tried in vain to curb that tendency, but she was unsuccessful. Rather, the more Haruka tried to curb her daughter's adventurous side, the more Hayate rebelled. Eventually Haruka compromised... if her daughter promised to stay out of too much trouble, Hayate could explore the planet with a small escort. Hayate agreed and was allowed to roam Uranus at will.
After an adventure that culminated in the defeat of a band of space pirates plaguing the people of Miranda, Hayate grew confident in her abilities after she was lauded as a hero of her people. She realized that she liked being an adventurer and exploring the unknown. Hayate knows that a proper queen is willing to retire from such a life and rule her people, but she is not quite ready to settle down, not while the galaxy has so much to offer for those with the curiosity and means to explore it.
<-- Appearance -->
Hayate is tall and has shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes. She looks the part of an athlete, but her height helps conceal any bulk that would show on shorter women. She likes to wear blue clothing, but she disdains dresses, gowns, or anything overly feminine. She will wear them for formal occasions, but that is the only time.
When not wearing the jumpsuit that doubles as a uniform, her preferred outfit is a blue t-shirt with cut-off khaki shorts that accentuate her long legs.
<-- Knight/Senshi Stuff -->
Name: Sailor Uranus
Element: Wind
Gemstone: Aquamarine
Innate Abilities: Enhanced speed on par with her mother.
Transformation:
A golden cyclone surrounds Hayate. She is unable to be seen except for her eyes. She spins and her clothing appears one item at a time. First the leotard, then the skirt, gloves, boots, and choker. Last, a golden tiara with a gemstone materializes on her head.
Once the sequence is complete, she stops spinning and returns to view clothed and with crossed arms. She slowly drifts towards the ground and lands on both feet. The cyclone dissipates and Sailor Uranus is ready.
Appearance:
Sailor Uranus wears a navy blue and gold color scheme reminiscent of her mother. However, her outfit varies in a few ways. She does not have the earrings. She also has lace-up boots like the original Sailor Jupiter (before Eternal Sailor Jupiter), but these are colored navy blue with white laces. She also chooses to wear elbow-length gloves instead of the original wrist gloves.
Her leotard is white and the skirt is navy blue. Her front bow is gold. The back is navy blue.
Powers:
Attacks:
Double Cyclone: Sailor Uranus can gather wind energy and channel it through the palms of her hands as two golden cyclones. This attack can knock back and disorient opponents. She can also attack in two different directions, though the knockback will not be quite as strong.
Mach Straight: This is a short-range technique. Channeling energy into her arm, Sailor Uranus punches forward and sends out a concussive blast of wind. The blast can knock the opponent backward and possibly cause additional damage (ex. slamming into a wall, being knocked through a window, being knocked over a railing, etc.) depending on the environment it is used in.
Storm Impact: Channeling wind energy into her fist, Sailor Uranus then punches the ground, creating a rapidly expanding dome of wind that can knock back multiple opponents. Enemies closest to its origin are likely to be sent flying while enemies farther away are likely to be only buffeted by the wind. However, she has to be careful not to harm teammates when using it.

Rank: Soldier
Combat Specialty: Scout
Position: Assault Team
Specialty Training: Pilot (In case Chisana is incapacitated), Scout (she uses an assault rifle, pistol, and hand grenades).
<-- Background →
Born into the Tenoh household, Hayate was the eldest daughter of Haruka Tenoh. Early in life she was given to adventurous tendencies... household staff would often be forced to locate her after she went on impromptu adventures inside the palace. One day when she was six years old, Hayate wandered into the palace hangar and almost took off in a fighter spacecraft before she was located and the ignition sequence halted by a blond-haired young man named Conrad, who was a former space fighter pilot and thus knew his way around a ship.
Hayate was not a scholar, but she was quite the athlete. She excelled as a track star and was also a respectable martial artist. Furthermore, she became a popular figure with the guys... and the ladies. Conrad, seeing potential in the young royal after watching her performance on a training simulator used by the navy, taught her how to fly. Hayate proved to be a capable pilot, if a risk-taker.
When she turned fourteen, Haruka relented and gave Hayate her own armed starfighter plus an armed escort of skilled pilots, including her instructor Conrad. Both would prove to be gifts given in foresight when Hayate ran afoul of a band of space pirates terrorizing Miranda. After a lengthy running battle that went into a dangerous region of space, Hayate was cornered and faced death when the space navy of Uranus appeared. Taking advantage of the sudden arrival of reinforcements, Hayate and her escort prudently retreated to let the navy handle it, and handle it they did. Any pirates who surrendered were taken captive, but any who resisted were immediately destroyed.
After the successful conclusion of that adventure, Hayate was lauded as a hero for her part in the defeat of the pirate band. She liked the adventuring lifestyle, but a worried Haruka tried to rein her in again. Hayate resisted and angrily accused her mother of trying to keep Hayate in her shadow. Matters were not helped when Hayate learned the truth behind her birth.
Hayate learned from her mother that she was the product of science rather than of natural birth. This revelation brought up an unsettling question. If Hayate proved to be too rebellious, what was to stop Haruka from having her killed in an "accident" and another Tenoh created to take her place? Hayate was deeply unsettled by that thought. She took off from the palace in her customized starfighter and set out for anywhere away from her mother.
Hayate considered going to one of the moons of Uranus but was stopped by Conrad. He suggested that she return to the palace and try to reconcile with the queen. Hayate nixed the idea by retorting that Haruka was not interested in reconciliation, only in bringing a rebellious science project to heel. Conrad repeated his request, adding that he was the one who saved her life during the space pirate adventure. Hayate finally relented, if only because she owed him a favor or two.
Back at the palace, Haruka was waiting in a holoconference room reserved for state business. Hayate met her there and Haruka introduced her to a woman with wavy aqua hair. Her name was Queen Neptune, also known as Michiru Kaioh. Together she and Haruka explained the circumstances of Hayate's creation: she was created to be their daughter. That was a genuine surprise to her. Far from being just a human bargaining chip to continue her family's dynasty, they truly wanted a daughter... this revelation paved the way for a gradual easing of tensions between Haruka and Hayate.
Despite their numerous conflicts, Hayate did care for Haruka. After all, she was her mother... or one of them, anyway. Caught up in the moment, Hayate hugged Haruka for the first time since her childhood. Hayate finally felt that the family was not a facade kept up for public appearances, but a genuine family built on honest intentions.
Two years later, Hayate and Haruka finished reconciling the day before the 1500th birthday celebration of Neo-Queen Serenity and Neo-Queen Serenity II. Hayate consented to wearing a navy blue dress for the occasion and their relationship looked to be mending. Unfortunately, that mending process was abruptly terminated when Haruka was killed and Hayate was forced to flee for her life. At first she thought it was the remnants of the space pirates looking for revenge, but that was not the case... the pirates tended to conduct hit-and-run looting raids, not to commit regicide.
After a brief and futile search for her mother's Space Sword, Hayate used her enhanced speed to scramble to the Kyofu and take off alongside a ship piloted by Chisana Chiba, who was accompanied by the other royals and a roguish fellow named Jacob Marconi. Once they were clear of the planet, Hayate followed the ship to a large station and landed there. Under the strict tutelage of Marconi, Hayate learned to fight and use weapons. She did not mind... on the contrary, she took to it quite readily.
In addition to learning weapons usage, Hayate learned more piloting skills in case Chisana was ever incapacitated. She also serves as a scout because of her sheer speed that lets her outrun anything she cannot outfight. Being a soldier was not quite the adventure Hayate had in mind, but it was always exciting. She hopes to recover both the planet Uranus and her mother's Space Sword.
