Freya gave a squeal as Jacob tightened her gear down and gave him a dirty look. Which she knew would be ignored. After she could breath normally again and her breasts didn’t hurt so much she looked around and commented to no one in particular.
“I’ve worn corsets that have been looser. I guess I’ll be ok but seriously he doesn’t look that strong but he wrenched down on this.”
She was always not happy when something happened to her because of gear but she had ignored the main rule. That loose gear could catch on something and that meant freeing one’s self in a critical moment.

Mizuki gave Ryuusei a grim smile at his appreciation of her weapon. She had another reason to like this guy. He could handle his liquor and giving appreciation to her Weapon was awarded with her continued attention from her.
“Yes, that’s Lunae Mortis, it has seen me through a few situations.”
She smiled again and adjusted the holster. It fit easily in her hand and was comfortable. She had fired it so much that it nearly felt like an extension of her body. She looked at Ryuusei about to say more when she was asked who had which medic. She looked at Jacob.
“I’ll take Natsumi. Neri can take Ada. You good to go Natsumi?”
She smiled at Natsumi and nodded. She wouldn’t let Natsumi get hurt but she would have her pulling her weight.
“Neri which team is on retrieval and which team is on suppression? I don’t mind either as we can actually use the dealing ring and cut a hole in the side closest to our target. One team defends the egress and the other retrieves.”
She didn’t mind either job. Mizuki would wait for Neri to decide.

William sat in his Liberator waiting for the cue to take off, but the Black Swan was idling in the hangar. Chisana was applying makeup and Mizuki was probably hanging around with that Ryuusei guy while Hayate was zipping around in her space fighter. This was about as much fun as sticking a fork into an electrical socket.
The meter was running. Spacecraft fuel did not come cheap. William's patience was starting to drop along with the Liberator's fuel supply. He jumped on the comms and spoke to whoever was on the Black Swan. "Is everything OK, Black Swan? Are you having any problems?" William asked. He expected Captain Marconi's arm to reach through the comms device and slap him into next week. The captain might also get out of Black Swan, drag William out of the Liberator, and make William take a space walk without a space suit for the blond's perceived insolence. It was a risk the Tenoh was willing to take. Chisana could pick just the right shade of makeup at another time.

Clad in the bulky Cataphract Armor, Alex sat in her place while loading the ammo belts into boxes. The takeoff was taking a lot longer than the brunette expected it to take, but the delay made sense once she heard Captain Marconi speaking to Neri Kaioh. For some reason the captain was training her for command... not that Alex cared.
Alex did not need Sakuya's powers to predict which team she would end up on. Alex was tailor-made for suppression. Her Light Machine Gun and Grenade Launcher were both excellent weapons for the role, but she would have to use caution when employing the Grenade Launcher in close quarters. She would find out what kind of environment she would be striding into when she got to their destination.
The brunette had a question but decided against asking it until the top brass finished conferring with the captain. She still had four belts that needed to go into ammo boxes. Loading them in just the right way was a tedious task, but as the official armorer Alex knew exactly what to do and how to do it. There was nothing she could do about the Grenade Launcher rounds other than hope that enemy fire did not detonate them prematurely.

Natsumi nodded to Mizuki "Sure...I'll take shotgun...if that applies here at all." Mizuki was a good woman to follow in battle. She was sharp, focused and she knew where Natsumi's true strengths lay. She was certain they would be able to compliment each other - at least that's what she felt it was best to think at the time.
"I promise to not lag behind.." She winked at her.

Neri watched the movements of the captain after her debrief. She was pleased he liked the simple plan of hers. Two teams were the likelihood of the prisoner being seemed solid.
"Sir, should a Cygrian be aboard, we will not engage unless they fire first. Most intel has them only fighting back when fired upon first. It would be best not to risk a fight in which we might not win, sir."
It was not to say she wasn't curious about the strange creatures, just didn't want to put her life on the line. It would be rather reckless of her. Given the opportunity, she wanted to study their fighting techniques. It would allow her to come up with a better way to deal with them other than turning tail and running. She hated to retreat if there was a way to win.
She waited for Mizuki to answer the captain first. She seemed distracted by the green haired boy. Honestly, Neri was unsure as to why they kept him other than no one wanted to deal with the fact he knew where they were. She checked her gun as she answered the last question. "Sir, I would like to state that most everyone had input which they wanted to give."
She nodded her head at the squad captain. "I don't mind taking Ada. I figured the detention center would have a lot of fire power behind it."
She sat back in her seat as she debated about the hole cutting. It would be quicker as they could be smack dab in between the detention and interrogation centers. She knew it would be either place to house the target. Just a matter of hacking into the system.
"We can drill a hole on the starboard stern about three quarters of the way down. It would be the quickest to either of the two likely places." She looked around the various seats as she gave teams. "Alex, Ada, Freya, and I will head to the detention center. Mizuki, Natsumi, Ryuusei, Felix, and Sakuya will head to the interrogation center. Chi can keep the engines running hot for us. Unless, captain you want to take over the get away."

Chi hovered in space as she looked back to see if Will had followed her out of the flight deck. It would seem the boy was waiting for an invite. She had plenty of fuel now, though did not want to waste any of it for later. In her eyes, he was wasting valuable time just sitting there.
She took in a deep breath, "Hey Will, are you coming? Or did you forget something? Picturing flying does not help when there is somewhere we have to be." She hoped that she didn't sound like a brat.
She overheard bits and pieces of the orders. She was not surprised that she was asked to keep the engines hot. It allowed her to be in the place where she was most comfortable. She trusted the captain to take care of her baby, just she didn't want to be a liability in a gun fight.

Jacob was impressed at the snap and bite in Chi's words. That was good they had an edge to them it meant she was ready for this. Once they were all underway he headed up front and took the copilot's seat. He was an observer here. He would be ready for orders when Chi gave them. He knew that part of this command was letting them come into their own. This was something he wanted them to do and exactly why he didn't say no to the plan.
"Flight Officer permission to assume copilots chair?"
This was their mission and he would take part as a participant and one to observe his charges and soldiers. He would wait.

Mizuki watched as Jacob didn't give comments about the mission other then stand and head forward to the pilots compartment. She was surprised he didn't tear their plan apart, tell them how little they had prepared or some other words of encouragement. She looked at Neri and wondered if the commander had lost his edge or if he was fine with not putting his hands on this plan. He hadn't even commented except to ask about the Cygnarian's and when Neri gave her plan for that he just accepted it. She got up and moved over to Neri and squatted down.
"That was odd. He usually has at least seven to fifteen reasons why our plan isn't going to work. What's with him?"
She shook it off as looked over at Ryuusei. She found him odd when he seemed like this sister would be much more his speed. Well appearances could be deceiving.

Natsumi herself noticed that Jacob had lost a bit of his jibe, having expected much more from him.
As she went to go, she looked over at Neri. "You know.... we've got to stop meeting like this, people will start thinking we know each other." She gave her a small trademark wink before moving up Mizuki. "Already to go - I always did like the unknown, People always find the unknown so frightening. But for me...the known is much more frightening...." She paused. "For example, did you know how many bacteria there are on the common drinking glass. Don't answer that..." She held up her small device which made a small 'bing' noise. "Oohh..that many." She then said. "Well..that weirdness is out of my system. Let's save our sister, shall we?"

It sounded like a pretty reasonable plan to him, yet he couldn't help notice people giving the Captain puzzled looks. Finally, Mizuki mentioned the guy usually takes a chainsaw to their ideas, but not today... "probably, cuz it's a good plan and we shouldn't really second guess ourselves with someone else's life at stake."
He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Natsumi's bit about bacteria. "Pre-flight jitters?"

She looked over at Ryuusei and narrowed her eyes a moment but didn't let that linger. She nodded curtly and then looked at Natsumi. Whoever they were after sure as hell wasn't her sister but the point of it was that they weren't going to leave her in the hands of anyone who answered to Death Phantom. She would answer Ryuusei first though about what the commander usually did to their plans.
"Yes its a simple plan, as simple as we could make, but the point is that he took the briefing, and only mentioned a few things. He usually grills us for hours before we even leave. A simple plan can go simply wrong if you ask the commander."
She sighed because she didn't want to be mean to Natsumi, she liked Natsumi and her quirks. It made her think of simpler times and days. She banished those thoughts and gave a grim smile.
"I wish it was one of our sister but right now I'm of the mind if they aren't with Death Phantom then they are against him. She proves me wrong I'll give her a nice breathing hole right between her eyes without any hesitation and no remorse. I might a few more drinks that night but won't lose any sleep over it. Let's worry about holding our position Natsumi. Is your medical bag good to go?"

"Wait, what?" William asked incredulously. Just what was that spoiled pink-haired princess getting at? He looked towards the hangar bay and realized the depth of his mistake. Chisana and everyone else were already outside.
"Oh, son of a bitch! You've taken off already?" William shouted into the comms device as he hurriedly lifted off and left the comfort of the hangar for the vast emptiness of space. Hayate was never going to let him live this down. Neither would Chisana. William engaged the thrusters and hurried to catch up with the ship before he fell too far behind and Captain Marconi rammed his hand through the comms device to strangle him.
"OK, I'm following you guys now." William said in a dry, subdued tone. This was great. Just great. He was being outflown by a giant bathtub and his sister was way ahead of them. The day could only get better from here... he hoped.

Chi glanced at the commander has he came to the cockpit with her. The look in her eyes was something that he knew well, she was more than ready to fly her bird. She nodded, "Permission granted, sir"
She moved the controls around slightly as she tested the engines and maneuverability. The outside looked good, she wanted to see if there would be issues later. She would hate to be caught dead in the water with where they were going. She sighed at the comments made by William. It was nice to see that he didn't waste any more time in the hanger. Neri or Hayate would have given him an earful if she needed to ask again.
"I'm happy you are joining us, William." She looked at the captain as she twisted the ship a bit more. "Ready the engines for sublight speed, please. It is time to get this mission moving."

Jacob put on the headset and listened to the chatter. He was impressed that Chi had gotten William to get moving and he decided to add in his piece. He looked at his readout and noticed that the number three engine was a little off. It had a .2% drop in pressure but he logged it and would mention it to Chi later so they could break it down and find what was causing the drop but now it wasn't an issue.
"Escorts...ping IFF and and sync navcomps for slipspace jump once we are clear of the gravity wells of the black holes. Call sign is Chisana No Jiyu."
He looked over at his instrument panel and waited for them to ping their IFF. He was doing what a copilot would do and monitor systems. He pointed to the pressure drop in the slipspace engine but it was nominal and wouldn't cause issues.
"Slipspace engine has a little drop in pressure. Nothing to worry about though."
