Start of the Day...

[Shidare]

Shidare woke up feeling the night’s frivolity sink into her body. She stretched and was instantly rewarded with her pet falling from her stomach as she sat up. It made a disgruntled noise but she shushed it. It was morning...well ok after the noon portion of the day anyways. She blinked a few times and realized that she hadn’t undressed the night before after the fun had ended. Lulu readjusted herself on Shidare’s legs and settled down. Shidare sighed and as she picked up Lulu and placed her on the bed so she could up and get her day started.

“NEW GIRL!”

The girl wasn’t new and had been part of her staff for a little over three months but she hadn’t distinguished herself. That would actually have her remember a name. She was certain the girl had a name that was as ubiquitous as her looks. Shidare was undressing as and heading into her bathroom. This was part of her morning ritual. The new girl should have been in by now.

“NEW GIRL! HURRY UP AND FEED LULU!”

She didn’t like repeating herself and telling someone their duty she considered repeating herself. She didn’t have a long list of duties. Feed Lulu, sweep the front walk, retrieve the sheets for washing, straighten the front entry way, and ensure the staff dining area was cleared of dishes after all meals. It wasn’t hard. She was paid enough she could get her own apartment but forgoing that’s she could use an apartment here for half of what a local apartment would charge and her food was free. Easy enough.

May had been deep in thought for the last three months since she arrived here. After finishing her other duties, she heard Shidare call "New Girl," She didn't mind being called New Girl. It was something she had gotten used to. Since she wasn't old enough, at least not physically to be a normal employee, which she was just fine with by the way, she really didn't get what her coworkers were trying to prove. She knew that her Queen and best friends were still alive thanks to another friend of hers, but that didn't keep her from missing them dearly. She couldn't wait to be reunited with them.

"Coming Shidare," May said as she ran into the room, picked up Lulu and headed off to feed her. This was her life for the time being so she had to make the best of it. She knew she would be reunited with Ashley, Misty, Dawn, Iris, and Serena eventually; so she just had to be patient and roll with the punches so-to-speak. She loved tending to Lulu, it reminded her so much of her Glaceon back home in the Spica Star System. She wasn't comfortable with leaving Glaceon or her other magical creatures back on Solara, but knew it was in the best interest of them.

As May came in she was wearing her standard outfit that she had come to be known to be wearing over the months since the incident,  a red and navy blue baby doll Tank Top that reveals her Midriff, a navy blue and red skirt that snaps in front. Around her waist is a navy blue and red fanny pack with the storage area for her supplies around her back. Her hair is light brunette color with a red bow in her hair. She has blue eyes a petite nose and a very endearing smile. In her ears is a pair of navy blue star-shaped earrings. She has medium-length eye-lashes. On her feet is a pair of red sandals with a red buckle and navy-blue round fasteners on her straps.

Shidare wasn’t one to demean people as she realized everyone had value. That value was something to be discovered by her and she loved that hidden value. She let the water cascade over her for a few minutes before she washed herself. The scented soap was nice. Turnilla was this lemony flower that also moisturized as you washed with it. It was also very expensive. She ensured all her regular workers had it in their personal quarters. She finished the shower and got out slowly drying herself off and applying all the scented oils to her skin that melded to create a subtle scent that made people wanted to come closer. She loved that and with a sparse application of make up she was sunnago as the locals said about attractive women. She decided she needed to visit some of the local shops who had taken umbrage at her business and being Kax along. It never hurt to have the Telerian along and she would also expand the new girl’s duties as well if she was up to the challenge. It also meant a slight pay bump. She dressed and grabbed her parasol for traversing the city today. She wasn’t wearing anything she would at night during business hours as that was fun and this was business. She left her room noting that Lulu had yet to be returned and hit the intercom button for Kax’s room.

“Kax...”

It only took a moment but a groggy reply came back. The sleepiness said he had been out for a good while.

“Yes Shidare....”

She hated bothering him as he was reliable. He ran tight security for her business and was almost indispensable.

“How long do you need to be ready to go out and visit our suppliers and a few of the more reticent ones?”

There was a clearing of his throat followed by a slight rustling of the sheet and creak of the floorboards.

“An hour?”

Shidare smiled as Kax valued her time and she likewise valued his but today they weren’t in a rush.

“Let’s do an hour and a half. It gives us time to get something to eat. It also allows us time to give our instructions to our people.”

Kax gave his agreement and Shidare made her way down the back stairs to go through the kitchen and spotted the New Girl standing there watching Lulu eat. She wondered if the Nee Girl has eaten herself.

“New girl, have you had midday meal yet? I suggest you do as we are going on an outing. It’s a new duty for you as you have proven over the last few months to be able to adequately perform the duties you have and seem to know how to please Lulu. I want you ready in an hour and a half.”

She smiled as she was offered a taste of the meal they would be serving to guests tonight. She smiled and nodded as it was sweet with a slight tang in the after taste.

“Oh that is delicious! New Girl come try this!”

She liked it enough for a second opinion. It seemed very bland in color but it was a surprise with the sweetness and wonderful tang you got from the doughy ball. She loved it.

“I would like to have my normal breakfast please. Ensure New Girl eats as well. She looks a little thin. I wonder if she’s trying to get a different job here? She could if she was willing to cut her hair and apply a little make up. She could even have a private tryout with me. I wouldn’t mind.”

She laughed suggestively as she gave a knowing grin to May.

“Just finish up feeding Lulu and tell Resa she inherited the rest of your duties for the day on my word. I’ll see you shortly.”

That was the funny thing about her. She always teased but wouldn’t push it. Shidare loved that game. She was also serious about May telling Resa that she had to finish May’s chores.

“After that get lunch and join me in the dining room.”

May heard Shidare give her orders and did as she was told. She told Resa that she would be taking over her chores for the remainder of the day. After giving Lulu one last pet and a hug, she got lunch and headed into the dining room to meet with Shidare.

The fact that the new girl was actually moving with some alacrity was a good sign. Shidare watched as she entered and took a seat. Kax should be joining them soon. He was usually checking in with people of his after they woke up and ensuring everything was as it had ended the night prior. She sipped her tea as she thought about the places they had to go today.

“May, you’re very good with Lulu and have done a good job with your other duties around here. That’s why it’s time to assign you another set of duties. You have talents beyond changing linens and cleaning up.”

She went back to sipping her tea as Kax came in, this was announced by the floor boards creaking.

“Morning Shidare and May.”

Shidare smiled at Kax as he took a seat and started eating. A lot of people didn’t like Kax because he didn’t put up with nonsense. She liked it just fine.

"Thank you very much Shidare!" May said with a smile, "I really enjoy taking care of Lulu. I'm happy I found a job at my age without much experience at all. You really think I have a lot of talent, I mean talents beyond what I'm doing here?"

After she finished talking to Shidare, May turned toward Kax and waved with a smile as she responded to Kax, "Good Morning Sir. How are you this morning?"

May then turned back toward Shidare and addressed her again, "So how are you this morning Shidare?"
