Once Chi heard confirmation from the Tenoh siblings that they understood her and the part they were to play. She closed her eyes as she pushed her feelings to the side. She wiped her face one last time as they were about to head into battle. She knew her position which was to get them in and out as safely as possible. There was a bad feeling which kept nagging at the back of her head.
She handed the cloth back to the captain as she gave a final sniff. She was battle hardened, not the cry baby which everyone saw her as. Somehow, she knew that everyone would see as just a spoiled girl. Her heart sank in her chest as the pent up feelings would stay. There was a lot of doubt as to if anyone would understand them or care. Her eyes turned back to the window as lights flashed by.
"Thank you, captain." She cleared her throat, masking her break down. She pushed a button for the comms between her and everyone else. It was time to head into the belly of the beast. Her knuckles were white as her stomach flip flopped. Her heart pounded in her chest as she kept her eyes glued forward. "We will be exiting out of sub space in a minute. Everyone take their positions and be ready for a quick exit. Going radio Silent in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.."
Granted she could have gone over the plan one more time, Chi felt it would just be beating a dead horse. Why add on something else to make the rest of her team despise her even more. She would find a way to help bail them out should things go south. After all, they don't want need a liability when storming onto a general's ship.
"Coming out of the slip steam, sir."
The ship lurched forward as it rocketed out into normal space. White dots colored the blackness as ships passed across the front. It felt as if a switch flipped as a sense of calm washed over her. This would be like any other time, in and out. She raised the shield as she dived below the coming army. Tiny blimps on the radar could be heard as she searched for their target.
"Captain, can you please keep on eye on those who might be following us? They should be easy to dispatch should they get to close."
Her eyes widen slightly as she saw her target. It was larger than she expected it to be. She knew that Neri would adjust her plan as needed for that. The teal haired girl was a genius when it came to stuff like that. She took the long way around to their destination. She took in the full ship before she docked on the starboard side, midway up. It was the place in which Neri wanted her to dock.
"Captain, will you tell the others that it is their time to shine?"
