Mizuki wasn’t the least surprised by their passing the inspection. She was pleased and ready to take a meal, clean her gear, and get a shower. She didn’t even care that they had retrieved Freya’s brother only fact he was alive and well. She hadn’t interacted much with him but enough to know the guy was quiet and kept to himself. That mattered very little as she had asked the station AI’s to keep an eye on him and deny him comms access.
She had just restowed her gear in the wall locker and was contemplating what she wanted to do first. Meal or shower. When at home she would have had the shower first but with everyone just getting off to whatever she decided a meal would be a good start. She pulled her boots back on and was lacing them up. She was tired and wanted to sleep this next seventy two hours away. It would be nice but she still had other things she wanted to do. They revolved around doing exactly nothing and just visiting with her sister. They may looked very similar but their personalities were vastly different.
She smiled as she wanted to stop by Chi’s room. She wondered if Chi was in and would find out shortly.
It was a few doors down and she stopped and hit the buzzer. She really wanted to talk to Chi about things and right now with all duty suspended for the next seventy two hours it was a good time.

Ryuusei was on his way to the galley to grab a quick bite, when he saw Mizuki waiting outside of her sister's room. He gave a wave and called to her. "Yo!" He noticed she was smiling which was really cute, which made his face red. "Excited for the break?"

The Yo that came from down the hall was pleasant as she turned to see who she expected, Ryuusei. He was an interesting person and a skilled soldier. Those were all solid points in her book. He also didn’t have any clue about her being a princess of a dead kingdom, which were more points in her book.
“Ryuusei, this is a surprise. I thought you’d either be in your room sleeping or in the galley eating. You must have finished the sleep or going to eat?”
She didn’t say it with any animosity as she could respect someone who stayed true to themselves while still being a skilled soldier.
“I don’t mind the break at all. Especially after the mission. I was just seeing if Chi was awake and up for a visit.”
She wouldn’t voice her opinions on Freya’s brother but would keep an eye him.
“What are you up to anyways?”

Chi stared out of her window as a brush slid out of her hand. Her thoughts were clouded as they have been in the past few weeks. She often felt as if any of her efforts to be different fell on deaf ears. The mission didn't help any as her ship was torn apart while looking for a tools and William being curt to her. She didn't understand what his issue was. It had been like this since he and his sister flew the Black Swan. She, at times, wanted to confront him however always chickened out in the end.
The buzzer sound made her jump as she sighed. She guessed that it was someone here to yell at her about something. It was their time off, so some how she probably irritated someone. She stood up as she opened the door. Her eyes darted between her sister and Ryuusei. She gave a half smile and a wave.
"Hey guys."

Mizuki turned when her sister said hi to them. She smiled at Chi and reached out to hug her.
“Hey Ryuusei I’ll catch you later. I’m going to visit with my sister for a while.”
She released her hug and didn’t lose her smile. She would of course wait to see if Chi was going to invite her in. She wouldn’t force her to invite her in.
“I thought I would stop by and see what you were up to and if you wanted to talk?”

Chi gave her sister a half hug. Something in her gut told her that Mizuki would seek her out after the mission. She placed her hands behind her back as she look in a deep breath. She must have been acting strange enough to warrant a visit from her twin.
"I guess we can chat a bit. Just be careful where you step, there is paint everywhere."
She gave a wave to Ryuusei as she took in a deep breath. It would be an uncomfortable talk as she was unsure what the topic would be. She was unsure if she wanted to talk about her recent revelation.

"I'm headin' over there now, figured I'd hose off the blood first, in case anyone else is eatin. That miiiiight freak'em out."
It was then that Chi answered her door and greeted both of them. "Hey!" Giving her a wave, before turning to leave.
Mizuku said she'd catch him later. "Sounds good, you too have fun, later." And walked to the lift.

Mizuki smiled happily as Ryuusei walked away looked at her sister smile remaining in place.
“Please I know you and how you like your painting. I’m not worried about it unless it’s a work of art I may step on.”
She carefully entered her sisters room and picked her way to an empty seat. She did however note the fresh pieces and strayed away from them as her sister could be extremely gentle but messing with her art would teach you a very valuable lesson about Chi. That was she would slowly make you suffer for destroying art.
“I’m glad to see you’ve been working again. It makes me happy.”

Chi turned back into her room once Ryuusei had left. Part of her wished that he stayed a little longer as she had a feeling about the conversation. She picked her way through the paintings she had done. It was a way to keep herself grounded with everything that was going on. The room would be littered with specks of paint.
"I wouldn't get too mad at you if you stepped on one or two. After all, I know it would be an accident."
She took her seat at her table as she looked at her sister. She moved around some of her supplies as anxiety built up in her chest as she waited for what was coming. She knew she had been off for a reason. She wanted to belong with the group, stronger and harder than what she was now. She placed a smile on her face.
"So, what is up?"

Mizuki had never talked about her time with Neri. She hadn’t even broached the subject with Neri herself. They were just one day together and then years later they weren’t together. It was mostly her fault. She had bowed to pressure of her parents. A nice boy. She was sure she liked both men and women. She didn’t want to be forced to choose and have it assigned because they required a royal heir for her abilities to be passed on. That always ghauled her and got her back up instantly when the subject was brought up. She longed for Neri but knew that ship had sailed.
“I wouldn’t because that wouldn’t be right.”
She had been doing some thinking on the ride home. She had thought about her sister and how they had grown apart due to their mother and father regulating roles for them. It had been to much and now this is where they were at with everything. Two young women thrust into roles they didn’t want and should have never been theirs until it was time. She also regretted giving into her angry at Setsuna and assigning the blame of her parents death. She laid it fully on Setsuna and now realized, perhaps to late that she had directed her anger at the one person she may one day rely upon to help her.
“I just haven’t made time for you lately. I feel the pull of my twin. It’s a strong pull and it has been since we were born. We can’t avoid it. You are also the one person I know I tell things that only you would be able to help me figure them out. You’re the one person I can share my feelings with and not expect any sort of judgement. Well a little judgement as sister do but not the heavy judgement.”
She took a seat and didn’t know how to say this but she was going to say it. It would hurt to say it out loud but she had to ask the question.
“Is it wrong to love two people and not know or understand how the last relationship went wrong. I mean is it wrong to harbor feelings of love for one person while you are in a relationship with another person that you aren’t sure about how it’s going to turn out?”

Chi took a seat in her chair as she looked at her sister as she crossed her ankles and placed her hands in her lap. She knew that Mizuki would respect her work. She even had gifted her a few pictures over the years. She smiled a little as she knew about the pull of the twin. She knew that they had hardly spent any time together over the last few months.
"We have been trying to survive lately. Or at least, I have to some degree. It has been hard over the past few months. After all, you are the natural leader to our group. As for judgment, I would never. It would not be right with how similar we are."
She pushed back the feelings she had been dealing with since Yule. Her full attention was on her sister. Part of her was relieved that the topic was not on her recent behavior change. She doubted if anyone had noticed. She chewed on the inside of her cheek as the topic was about love and relationships. It was probably the one subject she was not the best at. After all, the only relationship she had was to please her parents.
"I don't think so. Most people go through many different relationships over the years. Sometimes it is hard to know what happened in the past to cause a rift. If you are able, I think talking to the person you had the old relationship with might help you out. I think for the present relationship, you just need to ride the wave. If it turns out than great, if not than that is fine as well. I'm not the best with romantic relationships. After all, I had one that just kept our parents off my back. He is more like a brother than anything."

Mizuki could understand how her sister felt lately. It was a situation that she was directly involved in, she was their Shepherdess and Mizuki was her shadow. A lot road on Chi’s superb ability to get them out of the area.
“I’m a lot of things Chi and most of those don’t focus on leader. Our lineage doesn’t dictate who we become. It could have easily been you than me. Fate has a funny way about itself.”
She had always liked Liam. He was great and athletic, he a good guy. She thought him and Chi a good couple. It wasn’t until she saw how were in private and keeping the secret was her fault.
“I can see what you mean Chi. It’s my fault for not seeing if the other person was ok with things. It would be on me to find that out and apologize.”
She was pleased that her sister always saw right to the root of the problem and always gave sage advice. She loved her sister and didn’t know what she would do without them.
“Liam was a nice guy. I don’t think he was for you. I know we all have someone for us. Grandmother taught me that. They come into our lives when we least expect them. It’s very strange.”
She wondered if Chi believed that as much as she believed it. She hoped so it made it easier sometimes.

Chi knew better than to try to argue with her twin. She knew that she was not suppose to be the leader of this group. She was more support than anything. She stopped herself from mentioning that their parents taught them the same lessons. Mizuki stepped up while she stood in the background. She liked it this way. It allowed her to blend in much like what Liam had taught her to do.
"Well yes, apologizing is a good thing. At least it admits that you might have been wrong for ending something they way that you did. If anything it can help you move forward with the current relationship. You know I am always here for you, right? No matter what happens."
She looked out the window as her twin talked about how she had seen through the rouse. She always knew that Liam was not the one for her. She just wanted a relationship which allowed her to be herself and grow. When the attack came, they decided it was time to end it. It was fine by her.
A smile crossed her face as she looked back at her sister, "Yes, and I think Grandmother is right. We will both find that right person for us, even now."
