Character Name: William Tenoh
Knight/Senshi Name: Guardian Zephyr
Alignment: Neutral Good
Disposition: Affable, Daredevil
<-- Civilian Information -->
Name: William Tenoh. Friends can call him Bill.
Name meaning: William is named after General William Mitchell, an American general and proponent of air power who is considered the "Father of the United States Air Force."
Age: 15
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 150 lbs.
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Blond
Birthday: January 24th
Zodiac: Aquarius
Blood type: B
Strengths:
Affable- William does not stand on ceremony. Outside of battle, he is friendly and relaxed. He is also comfortable letting someone else have the spotlight. In short, treat him with courtesy and he will reciprocate.
Courageous- Even when the situation is unfavorable, William does not give in to fear. He keeps pressing forward without heed to fear or risk. His sister Hayate (among others) worries that he is secretly trying to end his life. William would counter that life does not come without risk.
Steadfast- William is firmly committed to freeing the galaxy from Death Phantom and will make any sacrifice to achieve this goal. Some think that he is determined to be a martyr. William knows that victory does not come without sacrifice.
Weaknesses:
Bellicose- William never backs down from a fight. In fact, he likes to fight. Death Phantom and his lackeys are his favorite target, but sometimes he may bite off more than he can chew.
Reckless- Like his sister Hayate, William can occasionally push his luck too far and get in over his head. This is particularly true during a battle. In times like that, he needs a helping hand to emerge unscathed.
Self-Loathing- Sometimes William is his own worst enemy. If he gets to thinking about himself, he finds a lot to dislike. He dislikes his reckless nature. He dislikes his bellicose tendencies. He especially hates how he feels that he has betrayed everything that Albus taught him by being a reckless fighter.
However, William feels like he has no choice left but to continue on his current path. If he has to have those flaws, he might as well use them to fight for a good cause. He hopes that one day there will be a galaxy that does not need people like him.
Favorite Food: Rice and any rice-based dish. He also likes chicken. Pizza is his third-favorite.
Least Favorite Food: Fugu fish. After a near-fatal meal involving improperly prepared fugu, he avoids it. This aversion has transferred to any fish-based meal.
Hobbies: Flying on a jetpack or in his personal starfighter, the Hayabusa (Japanese for "Peregrine Falcon"), watching old sci-fi holoshows and movies, and swimming.
Favorite Color: Blue. His second-favorite is white.
Phobia: Fear of needles.
<-- Personality -->
William can be best described as affable. He does not get stressed too often and deals with others in a relaxed manner. He has a mellow presence that does not rock the boat, preferring to let others have the spotlight.
To his deep regret, William did not always behave so calmly. Until he was ten years old, William had a demanding and selfish side with a violent streak, always doing what he wanted instead of doing the right thing. A life-changing encounter with a muscular man in white on the moon of Prospero changed him for the better. However, William feels like he has relapsed due to what happened to his mother. He hates himself for it but sees no other way forward.
<-- Appearance -->
William has medium-length blond hair and blue eyes. He is also tall and on the lanky side with a little muscle. He looks frail and weak, but appearances can be deceiving.
He usually wears the jumpsuit because it is already somewhat grimy from repairs/modifications on his custom starfighter. When not wearing the jumpsuit, he likes to wear a blue t-shirt with khaki cargo pants. He sometimes wears a white headband in honor of a man named Albus, but lately William seldom wears it because he feels like he betrayed the man's teachings.
<-- Knight/Senshi Stuff -->
Name: Guardian Zephyr
Element: Wind
Gemstone: Aquamarine
Innate Abilities: Enhanced speed on par with his mother.
Transformation:
William leaps into the air. He is immediately shrouded by the wings of an eagle. His helmet, armor, gauntlets, pauldrons, and boots appear with a white glow as each part materializes. After his outfit is complete, his entire body glows white before the wings suddenly unfurl and show Guardian Zephyr.
Appearance:
Guardian Zephyr's armor is blue with white accents. His helmet, armor, gauntlets, and boots are blue. The pauldrons are white and bear the symbol of Uranus in blue.
Powers:
Attacks:
Air Burst: Guardian Zephyr leaps into the sky and throws a cluster of baseball-sized balls of concentrated wind at the target. The target is buffeted by the bursts wind that result from the balls exploding on contact. If the target has the skill, barrier spell and/or reflexes, the balls can be deflected.
Kamaitachi Claw- Guardian Zephyr focuses wind energy into his entire body, then crouches down and sprints towards an opponent before disappearing. Seconds later he reappears exactly where he was originally standing and the opponent receives a deep cut.
Wind Scythe: Guardian Zephyr charges an entire arm with wind energy, then swings his hand towards the target in a chopping motion. The attack strikes, then a white afterimage briefly appears. The resulting blade of wind can cut opponents, even severing limbs or bisecting bodies if the strike has enough power behind it. It can be used horizontally or vertically. This technique is short-range but can cover a wide area and can hit multiple targets.
Allies must be careful to avoid getting cut.
Trained Weapons(optional): Assault rifle, handgun, hand grenades.

Rank: Soldier
Combat Specialty: Scout
Position: Assault Team
Specialty Training: Scout, Pilot (Backup for Chisana and Hayate)
<-- Background →
Born the eldest son of Haruka Tenoh, William came into the world a year after his sister Hayate. He was a handful to care for. He was strong-willed and selfish, frequently frustrating the household staff with incessant demands. Until he was ten years old, William could be described as a terror, especially to his older sister Hayate. That all changed when he was kidnapped after running away from the palace after an argument with his mother.
William's captors held him in a dense forest on the Uranian moon of Prospero. Denied food and kept under close watch by armed guards, William feared for his life. On the third day he prayed for a miracle. His prayers were answered when a muscular white-haired man in white robes entered the forest clearing where he was held captive. The bandits attempted to abduct him too, but he fought them all and killed them with contemptuous ease using an unknown martial art that used incredibly quick movements to kill cleanly.
The man freed William and provided him with food and water. The pair sat around a campfire and the white-clad man asked William about himself. William described his life in the palace and the circumstances that led him to Prospero. The man gently admonished him for being so selfish and counseled him that running away from his problems would solve nothing.
After a week of traveling through the forest of Prospero and learning from Albus, the pair finally reached a starport and traveled to Uranus, where upon reaching the palace they were welcomed with open arms. William told the story of how the man in white freed him, cared for him, and brought him to safety. Queen Uranus offered a reward to the stranger, who only requested transport to Mars as recompense. When asked his name, the stranger replied "Albus."
After the encounter with Albus, William resolved to set aside his selfish ways and live up to the title of prince. It took a lot of effort and numerous attempts, but by the age of twelve the household staff no longer feared him. On most days they hardly knew William was around because he did everything himself and kept quiet. He also stopped trying to terrorize Hayate and was content with his place, often having to be prodded to speak. Some feared that the prince had been killed and replaced with an imposter, but most were happy to be dealing with a more mature and respectful prince.
At school William was not the most scholarly student, but he made up for it with diligence and effort. He was also among the most popular because of his affable demeanor. William had an aptitude for languages and history, but his hidden aptitude was found outside the classroom. Like his sister, William discovered an uncanny talent for flying spacecraft when he tried a Uranian Navy starfighter simulator and performed almost as well as Hayate.
When he turned fourteen, William was given his own starfighter and an escort. He soon found himself embroiled in the same conflict with space pirates that Hayate got caught up in. William found that he liked the thrill of a fight... almost too much. He got a strange, almost perverse thrill from destroying pirate vessels. He was fully aware that he was killing human beings, but he still enjoyed the fight and the attendant adrenaline rush.
After the brief conflict ended William felt somewhat bored. That changed when Haruka called him into a conference room. There he found Queen Neptune as a hologram. When he inquired as to the purpose of the meeting, he learned the truth of his origin. He was a created in a laboratory by Haruka and Michiru to be a child to them. He did not take that news very well.
William slammed a fist into a wooden table and stormed out of the conference room. He hated his origin because it felt like his whole life was not his own. He left the palace and went on a flight to anywhere away from Haruka. A few minutes later Hayate caught up to him in her starfighter. Hayate opened communication with him and attempted to get him to return.
She told the story of how she came to learn of her creation when she was his age. William refused to believe it. He felt that it was just a story fed to her by Haruka in order to placate him. Hayate insisted that her story was true. William finally relented and returned to the palace.
After hearing the story again, William finally believed them. He put aside his misgivings and gave being a family another shot. It was tough going at first, but it went well until his mother was killed at a birthday party for Neo-Queen Serenity I and II. Something inside William changed. For a moment he saw Albus' face and felt intense regret, but he did not know why.
Disregarding the risk, William raced to his customized starfighter through a hail of gunfire and past a quartet of startled soldiers in black who were busy sweeping for survivors. He slammed his helmet down on his head, engaged the ignition sequence to his starfighter and looked through the targeting display. Lowering a modified flexible autocannon mount into position, he aimed for the quartet and fired.
William watched them dance and lose limbs in puffs of crimson mist before falling lifeless. Once he saw they were unquestionably dead, he ceased fire and turning to a half-dozen starting to shoot at him. He quickly began takeoff procedures. More of the black-clad gunmen were joining the fray as they became aware of a survivor who was not going to die quietly. He aimed and fired back, reducing them to lifeless corpses as well.
He started looking for more targets to engage. Shots were pinging harmlessly off of his vessel as he searched for any survivors to rescue. Unfortunately, most of the party guests were already dead or dying of their wounds. He was determined to go down fighting when he received word from Hayate that she and a vessel piloted by Chisana Chiba were taking off into space. His autocannon ammunition depleted, William fired a final salvo of air-to-ground missiles at the enemy and took advantage of the confusion to leave before it was too late.
He later docked with the Dark Echoes and met Jacob Marconi as well as the other royal children. Seeing that there were survivors of the attack made William feel relieved. He trained under Marconi in the military arts and underwent more flight training. William did not mind the training... it would be beneficial to learn how to fight properly.
Now William serves as a scout alongside Hayate. He blazes a trail for the others and takes the fight to the Death Corps whenever possible. He strives to free Uranus and ensure that Hayate becomes Queen. Once that is accomplished, William hopes that peace will return and that someone like him who enjoys fighting will never be needed again.
