Jacob woke up when he usually woke up and groggily reached for his arm. As he swung out of bed his foot sent a bottle spinning across his floor and he cursed as Annika projected herself into his quarters.
“Good morning commander! We have five items that require your review....”
Jacob held up his hand to stop her and Annika stopped waiting for him. He rummaged around through a pile of clothing as he found a clean uniform and picked up all the rest and bagged it up for taking it down laundry. He seated his arm fully and looked at Annika’s holographic face.
“Continue....”
He started to dress himself as she spoke.
“The upgrades to the dropship should be completed today as we have parts and equipment. That should please Chi. The next item agenda is your incorporation of Ryuusei into the team. We did take him on and begin training him with them he just hasn’t been to the field on a viable mission.”
Jacob nodded to her about the strange kid but let her continue as he fitted his thigh holster in place. Once he had everything in place he grabbed his cover and fit his earpiece in place.
“Let’s wall and talk. I have to make my rounds. First stop the galley. I need coffee.”
Annika nodded to him and as he left his room he grabbed his laundry. His earpiece gave a tone and he tapped it.
“The third item is Hayate and William’s request for starfighter parts. While I can see the need for the denial they will only become a bit more harder to handle. I say we get them on our next supply run. It will appease them.”
Jacob sighed as he entered the galley and requested a coffee from the replicator. It came out normally but the system too needed an upgrade as it was a little over a decade old. He sighed and realized why he never liked command.
“That brings up the forth item. Our power requirements have not changed since the reactor upgrade the replicator system and installing a new sensor system would be beneficial if you ever decided to bring the station out of this space. It would augment our weapon’s systems.”
He was again walking as he listened and decided that replicator and sensor upgrades were good to place on the supply list.
“Go ahead and make those priority and the starfighter parts secondary. That way if we get one and have time for the other we will have busy work for the soldiers for weeks. Plus I’d like a replication system that would allow us to replicate even the most complex parts.”
He walked into the CIC and nodded to Chi. She seemed to be finishing a log entry.
“Report Chi.”
Annika finished up the rest of the report. As she appeared on her projection dias in Operations.
“The last item is that Setsuna has requested a sewing machine....again. Along with fabrics. I know they aren’t priority but you could at least try.”
Jacob nodded and looked at Chi.
“Pilot! What are your thoughts on that?”
