Another Restless Night

Mizuki hadn't slept well the night before and she was slow to wake up. They had not general training to complete today and it was actually an off day because Jacob hadn't identified another target for them to hit for supplies or another things they could use to keep the station running. It had been a while since they had left the station after their last run into territory that was partially controlled by Death Phantom. She frowned as she washed her face and looked into mirror and frowned.
"Jallia what is on my agenda today?"
The other AI as she despised because it was always so happy but Jallia she got along with fine due to her personality and the way she prioritized information.
"You have the training session with Ryuusei because the commander wants your personal input on whether he should be cleared for missions. The holodeck time has been reserved for you and him. That has been scheduled for 1400 UST. Do you wish to adjust this appointment?"
Mizuki had done team training with her team and the new guy and while he was proficient he didn't scream team player to her at all. She could be wrong but Jacob had always told them all to follow their instincts. She was on this one and hoped she was proved wrong. She trusted her team and knew she could depend on them during the clutch. This Ryuusei was nothing more than a mercenary to her and out for something she couldn't discern. She pulled her hair into a loose tail and got dressed. She needed some breakfast first and would head to the galley and to get some eggs and coffee. Then she would go and see what other duties she needed to perform before she had to meet him for this solo training.
"Inform him the appointment will be as schedule and to come in full tac gear for the training. Thank you Jallia."
She fitted herself with her thigh holster as everyone on the station was required to have a holster with and then grabbed her cover to head out the door. Yet another thing she had grown used to as a soldier under Jacob's training and that was part of why she was making it here because of the confining rules he had placed on them.
"I'll be in the galley if anyone needs me. Thank you Jallia."
