Weapons and Wonder (Sakuya, tag Anyone)

[Sakuya]

Her pale fingers danced along the barrel on her rifle as her pink lips smiled. Her love in all times, the one she trusted and cherished was in front of her. It was a beautiful, midnight black sniper rifle, one she kept clean, polished and ready for dancing.

Removing it from the rack, she strapped it over her shoulder as it sideways along her spine. Pulling her long mermaid-braided hair to the side, a whips of hair fell over her ears. Her eyes glittered as she admired the entire armory.

This place brought her peace; solace in times of war. She felt safe here. She felt she belonged. Dusting off her black, pleather uniform, she ensured she could blend into the background with space. She would be haunting tonight. Her favorite thing to do beside her usual hobbies.

Twisting her boot, she turned her heels around to face the door where she happily swayed her hips toward the hanger.

[Ryuusei Fuushino]

"Not gonna lie, that was pretty hot." Ryuusei had been passing by the armory when he noticed the open door.. He looked inside and watched Sakuya handle a sniper rifle while also admireing the other toys on display. "So how'd things go in the medbay?"

[Jacob Marconi]

Jacob was going over how he was going to present himself to the Tang’s this time and rode the lift in quiet contemplation. He didn’t mind going in a little light but after the last deal with them he was wary. They had tried to double cross them and he had let his team tear their place up a bit as retribution. They seemed to have accepted the fact that if you crossed them you would pay a price. That was why he was bringing Sakuya and they were meeting in an open air cafe.

The lift gave the soft tone to let him know he had reached his destination and he got off walking down the stark gray corridor toward the armory. There were markings on the walls for power junctions, access points, and other places where you could access behind the walls. He didn’t think much of it and like everyone else really paid them no mind unless you were looking to make repairs. He walked along with a purpose and stopped when he saw Ryuusei in a section he wasn’t yet authorized to be in, well he wasn’t in the armory. No harm, no foul.

He kept his distance as he didn’t like to intrude and Sakuya could handle herself. He didn’t like to interrupt social interactions. They were growing young adults and these situations could develop. He devised to walk by them without commenting. The most people every noticed about him besides his arm was the fact he didn’t make a sound when walking, even on metal deck plates. He walked by them without saying a word.

He grabbed Disrespectful Stare and The Last Word. He didn’t had his tac gear but he did wear the holster at all times for his sidearm. He dropped the cylinder seeing that his last cleaning on it was still good and smiled as he opened a draw and pulled out the energy magazines for the weapon. They were cylindrical and provided ten rounds before reload. It looked like an ancient west revolver but packed one hell of a punch.

Their tac gear had a rifle harness that allowed you to stow your rifle without a sling. It was a wonderful piece of tech and made it so an explosion didn’t separate you from your rifle. He was usually in his before mission but he wanted to check on Hayate and William to see how they were getting along with the Swan.

“Sakuya we are wheels up in thirty. See you shortly.”

He commented as he was grabbing magazines for his rifle. It was a good build and he would have to see if he couldn’t find a better scope for it. He didn’t mind that they couldn’t get some of the things he liked but if they could get the replicator system upgrade parts they would be in good shape. It all depending on Cella Tang and how happy she was to see Jacob. Well that’s why he would be haunted today for a good reason.

[Hayate Tenoh]

Hayate raced into the armory, beating William by a solid margin. For a Tenoh, he was quite slow. Now to get her gear. She noticed that Jacob, Ryuusei and Sakuya were present.

"Uh, hi there. Looks like the gang's all here." Hayate commented to everyone present. She quickly grabbed her tac gear, pistol, a quartet of hand grenades, and six assault rifle magazines. She threw on the gear and put the grenades and magazines in place.

Everything was falling into place. Everything except for her rifle. Where was it?

Hayate was flustered. It was bad enough that she misplaced her weapon. It was even worse that the captain was here to see it.

[William Tenoh]

William raced into the armory a half-minute after Hayate. She was always the faster of the pair. Anyway, it was time to get his gear.

"Hey Captain, hey Ryuusei, hey...Sakuya..." William trailed off. Why did Sakuya like tight, shiny outfits? He did not know. He was definitely not going to complain.

Hayate's presence reminded William to keep moving. He grabbed his tac gear, pistol, a quartet of hand grenades, six assault rifle magazines, and his assault rifle. He quickly put on the gear and put everything into place. When that was accomplished, he noticed Hayate.

She looked flustered. He knew that Sakuya was not the cause. Where was her weapon? Seconds later it dawned on William. She did not know where it was!

William had the good sense to not bring that up in front of the group. Hayate was a proud individual. She would not react well to being embarrassed in front of the captain and her peers.

[Alexandra Kino]

Alex heard commotion and recognized the voices. Hayate was among them. What good timing. Her weapon had just been cleaned.

A closer looked showed that the older Tenoh was unhappy. She had everything except the assault rifle. That was the source of her distress. Time for Alex to save the day... and to help Hayate save face.

"Sorry about that, Hayate. I had your weapon. It's just been cleaned and it's ready for you to use." Alex said to the blonde while presenting the weapon. Alex was still annoyed over the state of Hayate's weapon. While the blonde was cheerfully oblivious to that fact, weapons needed maintenance, just like starships.

If Alex were spiteful, she could have hidden the weapon. If Alex wanted Hayate dead, she could have easily sabotaged it. But Alex was not that kind of person. These troubled times were when everyone needed to pull together.

[Sakuya]

Sakuya chuckled a bit at Ryuusei “Dude...do you hit on any woman that moves, or just the tall ones than can overpower your every move?” She asked softly as she felt the strap of U~idoumēkā. “Ryu...sorry. That was harsh.” She sighed quickly as Jacob entered the room. She instantly stood up straight, nodding “Yes sir. I’ll be there right away.” She replied in her hard, professional tone. Her voice even when speaking to the higher-ups had a sense of soft feminism to it.

As Hayate and William entered the room, she smiled. “Hey there..” she nodded simply, trying to hide her instant blush toward William. He was silly, which was a welcome change to her. She always played the part of the older sister, the one who had to protect, to be fierce and on her game. No softness.

Damn it! Stupid girl emotions! Eeeeeerg!!

Shaking it off, she smiled “Boarding too?” She asked the siblings, them noticing Hayate’s frustration. She had been about to ask, but Alex had entered the room as well, realizing the she had had the girl’s weapon. Huh. Well, that explains it.

Looking back to a Ryuusei, she tilted her head “A...are you coming too?” She asked with a hint of confusion.

[Ryuusei Fuushino]

He snickered at Sakuya's first response, "Just the cute ones." When Jacob entered the armory and walked passed, he simply nodded his head. "Captain.", before answering Sakuya for the second time. "Wasn't ordered to, just passing through."

He backed up a bit when the Tenos, first Hayate then William tore passed. "Where's the fire?" He wondered jokingly.

[Hayate Tenoh]

"The fire? What fire? I don't get... oh. Never... never mind." Hayate started her response to Ryuusei before suddenly trailing off. She noticed Alex presenting the missing weapon to her. The brunette was a lifesaver.

"Thanks Alex!" Hayate said before taking the weapon. Hayate appreciated the way Alex brought the subject up. It saved the blonde face and it saved her ass. Hayate turned back to Ryuusei.

"Where were we? Oh yeah... the captain wants us ready to go in thirty minutes. Chisana's expecting me in the hangar. Theresnotimetochatsorryryuuseiillseeyoulater!" Hayate made a hurried reply to Ryuusei before darting off back to the hangar.

[William Tenoh]

"There she goes. Always in a hurry. She doesn't wait for anyone." William mused aloud. Hayate was the apple of Haruka's eye. William was more of an afterthought, a living Plan B in case Hayate met with an untimely end.

"Hey, thanks Alex. I appreciate what you did for Hayate." William thanked Alex. She was one of the background workers who kept the place going with nary a complaint. Sometimes William did not see how she did it.

"Hey Sakuya, I guess you're going with us too. That's good. Someone's gotta keep an eye on things." William said to Sakuya. William was aware of his tendency to develop tunnel vision and focus only on what was in front of him. Hayate was the same way. Someone besides the captain had to keep the Tenoh siblings on the right path.

"Hey Ryuusei, sorry about Hayate. As you can tell, she's in a hurry. If you don't join us, we'll catch up with you later." William said to the green-haired guy. Ryuusei was a strange one, but he was a good guy. He had a good personality and was almost always in a good mood. He made for a good counter to moody people like Felix.

"Well, I'd better get going too. I'll see most of you in the hangar!" William said before racing off to the hangar.

[Sakuya]

Sakuya chuckled to Ryuusei before shaking her head. He was trying to be charming and it amused her. “Well, I’ve gotta head out. Have a good day!” She said quickly, following the others as fast as she could. Even with squabbles, she truly believed everyone had each other’s backs. Ya had to.

“Yep! Someone has to make sure you guys stay on your toes! She giggled, walking quickly behind the others.
