The morning meal...(Tag All)

[Jacob Marconi]

Jacob surveyed the room and waited for thing to die down. When Sakuya spoke up he shook his head at her. That was bad form but it might as well be said. He knew what animosity did to a team and he wouldn’t have it. He was glad they got it out of their system.

“Listen up!”

He barked it commanding their attention. Once he was satisfied that everyone was looking at him he continued.

“The animosity that would have been fostered had I broke that up would have come out in worse ways between them. They exercised their right and aggressive qualities I have been fostering in each of you since coming here. I’m sure you can ask Felix and he will confirm that you can’t have your team fractured by stupid shit.”

He waited a moment to let that sink in then went on.

“Sakuya you will help Freya to the medbay and wait while she gets her arm set and healed. Chi you will go with them to have your face looked at as well. Let this be a lesson because next time I’m going to ensure that this type of action is more monitored. The rest of you finish your morning chow and get off to your duties. After Mizuki finishes her training block we have forced fun. It’s mandatory for everyone. That means either PT(physical training) gear or some other relaxed workout clothing. Get to it.”

He sat back down and finished his eggs. He looked at Setsuna and motioned her to sit.

[Ryuusei Fuushino]

Well that was...interesting; breakfast and a brawl! Ryuusei couldn't help but smirk as the 'girl he was rooting for' won. Jacob called their attention and he had a feeling he knew what the Captain was going to say...sure enough it was about team in-fighting. He had more than a few spats with his brothers...mostly over the stupid shit Killy, the youngest of the trio got them into...such as on that day. Over the course of a decade the 3 learned to work together, kicking Kil's ass AFTER a job was done.

Ryuusei got up from his seat to deposit his empty plate, and on his way outof the galley,  he passed Sakuya. "Nice work..." ...Not as enthusiastic as he wanted to give the compliment as Chi had gotten caught up in it..and her subsequent breakdown was more than a little eyebrow raising. (Suppose some still haven't shat that silver suppository.)

[Felix Hino]

Felix watched Sakuya act flirtatious and make cutesy remarks after Setsuna broke up the brawl. That was typical of her. She acted superior to everyone else just because she won a playground fight. Someone would knock Sakuya off of her high horse one day. Part of Felix hoped that he would be there to see it.

Sakuya. She was always the favorite. Mars' pride and joy.

In the days before Queen Mars died, palace talk informed Felix that Sakuya was predicted to have a degree of power that surpassed Felix's own.

Of course it would. Whether it was intentional or not, Sakuya always managed to one-up Felix where it counted. That vexed him to no end.

He could see the dead and talk with them for a limited time. She could see them and have full-length conversations with them.

He was limited to the present. She had the coveted power of seeing into the future.

Maybe it was destined to be like this. She was Queen Mars' daughter and firstborn child. It was only natural that Sakuya would inherit the full array of royal powers.

Felix blinked. Queen Mars appeared before him. Felix frowned. Speak of the devil...

"What do you want now?" Felix muttered to her.

[Hayate Tenoh]

Hayate watched with amusement as William clawed at his head. Felix had lobbed a towel onto her brother's head with impeccable precision. He thought that some alien creature from one of his sci-fi movies was attacking him. She was still amused when he requested that she move so that the table could be cleaned off.

"OK, I'll move." Hayate obliged. She stood up and gave William plenty of room to work. Hayate watched Sakuya's behavior after the fight's conclusion and was not impressed.

Jacob's announcement killed the mood.

Captain de Sade had the uncanny ability to ruin good moods. Like his Terran namesake, the captain clearly got his jollies from torturing people and flouting conventions. Hayate had no idea about his love life, which was probably for the best.

Speaking of love, Setsuna could benefit from a relationship. Maybe she and Captain de Sade could hook up. They would make such a cute couple.

On second thought, maybe not. Both of them brooded too much to ever really become attached to anyone. Any children they had would likely be in for a depressing childhood. Speaking of children, Felix could have been their child and Queen Mars just adopted him to help them save face. He was as broody and melancholy as they were.

Anyway, it was time to get going. Sadism Time was about to begin. She certainly did not want to be late for that.

[Freya Aino]

Freya was still in pain but she got to her feet quickly. She was t going to let this slide but Jacob’s voice cut through it all. She had been given an order to report to the medbay and she was to take Chi with her. She had learned a lot from Jacob but had slacked off on her training when it came to hand to hand. She lived to blow shut up up physical fighting wasn't amongst them. This taught her something valuable and that was she needed to be more than strong to win a fight. She cradled her arm gingerly as she headed out of the galley and in a pain laced voice called over he shoulder.

“You two coming or do I have to hold the lift?”

She stopped outside the door and thought for a moment. Her eyes narrowed. Sakuya said her shirt was cashmere. Well that wasn’t true because well there was some other material in it. Well she would tell her once they were in the medbay.

[Mizuki Tsukino]

Mizuki had watched everything with a detachment that Felix would have appreciated. Jacob hadn’t moved to stop them and then bitchy Setsuna came in and tried to exert her will over the situation. When Jacob stopped her she smiled to herself. You want to command you have to earn it. She wouldn’t have had any problems following her orders but the woman was colder than a comet and basically ignored them until she thought Jacob was being to rough on them. Her faux concern didn’t even prompt Mizuki to try and stop them. As far as she was concerned Freya and Sakuya had equal parts in the fight and well they had to settle their differences. It was finished and the aggrieved parties were off to the medbay. The one part that did kiss her off was when Chi got caught by Sakuya. She nearly stepped in and beat the kiss out of both of them. Well she probably could have hurt one enough to make them stop but the other would have taken her.

“Lady Meioh so good of you to join us. I’m glad you could witness the festivities today.”

She grabbed her tablet and noticed that Setsuna had booked holodeck time. What was the program she wondered? Well either way she would ensure she enjoyed it. She overrode holodeck protocols and ensured it played a battlefield simulation Jacob used to train them in small squad tactics. She wouldn’t die but she would get a taste of some real training.

[Chisana Usagi]

Calm swept over Chi as the tension in the air seemed to be cut, well mostly cut. Her aunt and the captain looked like they were going to come to a head over what just happened. She just wished they got along a lot better. There must be something that could help them. Maybe she would talk with one of the AIs about it. Maybe they had an idea.

She wiped some of the blood that was dripping from her nose. It hurt as she felt tears well up in her eyes. She had a feeling everyone thought she needed to toughen up. It was hard to explain that it was not in her nature to be hard and enjoy hurting others. She wanted to hold on to this part for as long as possible. There was still good and kindness in the universe. It must be why she was elected as the main pilot. It fit her personality.

She closed her eyes as to not show anyone what she was feeling. Maybe a flight by herself would be help. She was done with everyone. She shuddered at the words of forced fun. She would have to suck up until she got a moment alone. She heard Freya call after her. She sniffed as another round of pain started. It now seemed to throb constantly. Sakuya was strong.

"I'm coming", was the dejected reply to her friend.

She caught up to Freya as she walked stiffly, try once again not to show anymore weakness even as a few tears streamed down her face.

[Freya Aino]

Freya wasn't totally a bitch as she did know that Chi was a bit more soft than the rest but she was who she was and that was all that mattered. She loved Chi and wouldn't want her to change for anything in the universe. She may be hurt but she wouldn't ever want to see Chi in such a state. She took a moment to toss her good arm around Chi's shoulder and smiled at the young woman.

"Oh come on Chi, it only hurts when I try to move it. Plus having a small smack like that does us good. It makes us understand that sometimes we shouldn't try stupid shit or just try it anyways."

He smile was bright and she kissed Chi on top her head. She loved Chi like a sister and was glad she wasn't a sister. That would ruin any fun she might be able to get up to with her is she was amenable to it. Well she wouldn't do that because she had another she cared for and that other was more than she ever wanted or had dreamed she could find.

"Hey Chi how about later we make a cake in the galley?!? You know for fun. I can make that pink frosting you like so much."

She smiled at her hoping to cheer her up.

"Sakuya can help us as well. You know even though she looks like she never eats she likes cake. I've seen her sneak pieces of it when she thought no one was looking."

She giggle but it was laced with pain because it jiggled her broken arm.

[Setsuna Meioh]

Setsuna stepped back as the girls got up off the floor. She was happy it was over with for now. She stepped away as her arms crossed over her chest.

The voice of the captain cut through her thoughts. She kept her face neutral as he spoke. She did not agree with everything he said which was normal. It was almost a daily occurrence that they had a fight. He would always tell her how wrong she was about every. To hell if she might actually be right about something. Mark this off my to do list.

She saw the motion to sit. Any need for substance was completely gone. She had a strange feeling that he would insist that she have something. Maybe a little later. She ignored the comment for Mizuka. It was only meant to fire her up. She smiled as she went to sit down across from him.

"I suppose I get to find out once more everything that I have done wrong. Shall I sum it up? No wait better yet you will tell since I will miss some important fact."

[Jacob Marconi]

Jacob sipped his coffee while he listened to her after she sat and when she finished he waited a moment longer and then after getting some more coffee he came back sat down and slid her a plate of fruit. He waited a bit longer then looked up at her. He seemed to be considering something then he put his weapon on the table and slid it to her. He waited a moment and then spoke.

"You know if you want part of this command you can ask. I have no problems sharing command duties but you seem to want to try and take them without the forethought of you are not in command here. The last order your Queen gave me was to keep you safe, train the kids, and ensure that Sol was taken back. I'm following those orders the best I can and you trying to override my orders at every chance you get, I don't care what you think, or whatever Senshi mumbo jumbo you have at your command, this is a military command until my troops demonstrate magical talent. Once they do that they are your's to command."

He looked at her and waited a moment and then decided to extend an olive branch so they could at least cease these on and off hostilities for a while.

"I'm not even going to talk about what you did wrong or what you did right. I don't have time to analyze every fucked up thing you may or may not do while here. My suggestion is you start training with the troops. You replicate tactical gear and start training in some of the simulations I created when I was first training them. You start attending the mandatory PT I enforce for all of them. The biggest thing is you will learn how to garner the respect and command these troops."

He waited as he looked at her and then sipped his coffee.

[Setsuna Meioh]

Setsuna watched the man across from her. Her eyes hard as she waited for a response. It was fine that he was buying time, it was best for them not to have a heated discussion in front of the kids. She kept every muscle still, ready for what every tongue lashing she was going to get.

"And here I had been thinking we would share command. We are equals on some sort of level. As you have so nicely pointed out, I am wrong as I usually am here. I will not apologize for doing something I felt was right. It felt as if things had gone too far even if you felt differently. Yes there will be animosity between them though there are healthier ways. We are not the best role models for that."

She paused when he mentioned training with them, joining as part of the team. She picked up a grape as she popped it in her mouth. She bought herself some time as she considered his words. It was an invitation, one she would have to consider with some time. For now, she would train on her own.

"I shall join the mandated fun this afternoon."

It was simple as she took another grape, realizing she was actually hungry. For her, it was a simple request. One that would not take away from her own duty. She would not speak of her commands as he would not begin to understand what she needed to do. He was being civil so she would recipercte.

[Sakuya]

Sakuya looked to Felix as she began her way out of the cafeteria “What? What do you mean? God, Felix, I feel like you’re always wanting to have it out with me.” She scoffed as she passed Ryuusei, hearing his props to her winning “I didn’t want to fight, and o got lost into it. It was goood practice.” She replied softly as she followed Freya and Chi to the medbay.

Hearing Jacob shout sent her emotions into overdrive. She had liked him for a while, but knew he was much too old; like an older brother figure to her. She looked up to him and admired him since he saved Felix and herself. She knew that fighting your teammate was wrong, however, Jacob did make a good point. It was best she and Freya got it out now, instead of out in the field.

With a heavy sigh, she pulled her hair up with the ponytail holder she’d had around her wrist. Looking to the rest of the group, she simply smirked and followed along.

[Archivist Omega]

The queen of Mars stood directly in front of her son. A scowl could be seen on her features as her eyes seemed to bore deep holes into Felix.

"Being an on looker with your sister does not help anything. You are the only two left of our line. Each of you have demons that would be best exercised should you put the past behind you. You will find that you have a lot in common."

Annika appeared in the Gallery has she had gotten orders from the captian.  She looked at the two children from Uranus. 

"Captain Macroni has order that you get his ship ready for launch."

[Felix Hino]

Felix frowned deeply. Queen Mars had the gall to lecture him on family unity? She was the one who drove a wedge between them! She gave Felix the run-around instead of giving straight answers. Giving him straight answers would have done a lot to defuse the resentment, but Queen Mars had to be as cryptic as Setsuna and now the family relationship was paying the price.

"You're one to talk about family." Felix started with a derisive remark.

"You abandoned me to the temple priests and the agoge. You danced around all my questions. Now you want something from me and it has to do with your pet Sakuya. How typical." He continued, his resentment growing with each passing second. Then his curiosity took over. She said that Felix and Sakuya had a lot in common.

"OK, I'll bite. What could Sakuya and I possibly have in common?" Felix asked Queen Mars bluntly.

[William Tenoh]

William had just finished cleaning up the coffee mess he made when Annika appeared. She informed him and Hayate that the captain needed them to prepare his ship for launch. William put the dirty towel in a sink and faced Hayate.

"Well, we'd better not keep the captain waiting. Time to go prepare his ship!" William said to his sister.

William noticed Felix talking to the wall. The blond was puzzled. Who was he talking to? Judging from Felix's expression and tone, it was something personal. William had better stay out of it.

"C'mon Hayate. We're not getting paid to stand around!" William urged her.
