After making a quick exit from the ship, Setsuna headed to the gallery. She had a feeling that her report would land straight into the trash. It mattered little as she was used to such a thing. As long as they made it all out alive that was all that mattered.
She gave a soft sigh as things were all picked up. She had noticed the weather back home was around the season of Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah, and the many more that where celebrated. She often remembered that the queen would throw a large party celebrating the different festivities. It was nice to be apart of that. Maybe it was time to remind the children a little of home. It was a small gesture that she could offer them.
She had gathered her supplies over the last year or so. She had a feeling that some of the requests caught the captain off guard. She knew that she could replicate most of yet there was nothing like hand made things. It was something that she had not lost over the years of advance technology. When time permitted when she was a queen, she would do her own sewing. Some of her designs had caught on to larger companies.
She walked around the gallery as she took in all the nooks and crannies, debating where she wanted to put what. She only had so much time before the mission was complete. She wanted to get it done by then. Everyone else was busy with their duties for the day. It would allow her to do what she needed.
As an idea formed in her head, a slight twinge of her lips came forth. A nod of her head as she headed to the storage unit that she had all the supplies. She made several trips as she went back and forth until everything was there. The only thing she need to replicate was the tiny evergreen trees for the tables as well as some lights. There did not seem a world that held what she truly needed.
She pulled out the long table cloths of red and green with a golden trim as she placed it. The small trees where placed in the middle of each of the tables. Tiny lights as well as symbols of the sun and stars could be seen. She sprinkled a little bit of snow on the tree as well as long the table. She grabbed a stool as she strung up the lights along the walls as well through the middle of the room, having a peak in the middle like a tent. She hung a small bundle of mistletoe near the center of the room. She rolled out a white carpet which took a few passes in order to cover the room. She placed a large metal plate in the middle of all the tables. A few logs were stacked upon each other ready to be lit.
She looked around the room as her handy work completed. She smiled as Annika started to play soft music in the background. She placed her gifts to each of the children on one of the tables. Food was laid out on a table along the side after she made everything. It would be some the traditional foods that they grew up on.
She checked the time as everything was finished right before the meal. A day of fun should be had by all. After all, it was what the captain ordered. She stood off to the side as she waited for them all the enter.

The mission for Chi had been a long one. She ended up falling asleep on the way back. She half expected to be chewed out however was happy she was not. She knew that the captain understood as she was the one who did watch the night before. She stretched as her stomach gave a tiny growl. It had been sometime since the morning meal. Maybe she would run into Freya. The cake baking might have to wait for tomorrow.
She entered into the mess hall, only to feel as if her eyes were popping out of her head. The place looked amazing as she spun around. She had lost track of time as she didn't realize that it was a holiday. The captain never had them celebrate things. Unless it was apart of the mandated fun. She would only make a reasonable guess.
"Oh my! I feel like I am at the palace again. Do you see this?" She was not sure if anyone else had followed her. She didn't mind talking to herself at times like these.

Ryuusei had just completed a workout and decided to grab a bite; replicated or nit it was just nice to be able to HAVE a regular meal. As he approached he saw chi enter the Mess. (Didn't know they were back already)...And almost ran into her as she was stopped in her tracks by something.
"Something up?" Finally seeing what she saw, the Galley had been decorated?! "What's going on here?"

Chi looked over her shoulder as she smiled. It would seem as if Ryuusei was surprised. She wondered how Annika had done all of this. She gave a quick hug to the stranger as she stepped fully into the room.
"It is a celebration of giving from back on Earth. There are many different traditions that had some sort of celebration about life or the return of light. That is the best way to put it, I guess."
She twirled around the room as she smiled. Her jaw dropped open as she saw the gifts as well as the food. It really did make everything feel like home again. She pushed the edges of her tiredness to the side as she rushed over to the table. All of her favorites were there and then some. Annika really had out done herself.
"Do you have any traditions like that from where you came from?"

Ryuusei wasn't expecting the hug, and upon hearing her explanation, he simply responded. 'Neat." He didn't brush Chi off or anything, and considered her inquiry as to whether there was something like that where he came from. Perhaps there was something like that in Seinegald...but if there was, it wasn't practiced in Darilshade for nearly two decades...and he knew even less about the other countries' customs. He responded honestly. "If so, it ain't practiced in my neck of the woods." And went for some of the potato chips.

Freya had finished up her assigned duties in the magazine and secured Felix as her escort to this party that was suddenly sprung on them like a gift. She wore a dress that would surely gather a few looks but it was mainly for Felix because she had no issues with him knowing that it was hard to get into the dress. When she and Felix entered her eyes widened at how the usually drab and functional galley had been transformed. It reminded her of the Yule Celebrations back on Venus when basically everyone was ordered, royal decree of course, to be at home with their families over the holiday and enjoy it. Her mother had been very firm about that one. She leaned into Felix a bit more feeling his warmth and spotted some mistletoe hanging from the ceiling out of the of the way. Well she would maneuver him over to it later and avoid it until then she was ready. That last thing she needed was William stumbling upon it and trying to give her a kiss. She didn't want to think about the beating Felix would give him. That might have been fun to see but again after the morning festivities with his sister he might actually kill William.
"Look at this! Felix its like Yule on Venus! The music is perfect and well its going to be a great little soiree!"
She let him set the pace and didn't want to seem pushy. It would have been rude and uncalled for besides she loved it when she could do anything with him. Hell being close to him was enough for her. She didn't really know when she started to take an interest in the quiet and broody man but it had all built to head that night they were drinking. After that it was like they say, history. She was going to have so much.
"Should we get some punch or food first?"

"I say get get some punch first." Felix suggested to Freya, who was wearing a rather nice dress for the event. How did she get into it? She was the daughter of Venus. She always found a way.
He wore a black suit and tie that he had found awhile back during a supply raid. How it got there was anyone's guess, but it fit him. Having left most of his clothes on Mars, he welcomed new clothing that fit him and was appropriate to wear. It was checked and checked again for wires, listening devices, or other traps and it came up clean. Right now Felix lived up to his name.
He had the daughter of Venus as his companion. The other royal children were still alive, even William. He was still alive. Felix really was fortunate.

After their run and coming back Jacob had ordered the AI's to take over all duties until the end of the day and then to contact him to see if it would be extended. He had some surprises for everyone in the galley and had gotten a few things hidden away for a special occasion like this one. The first thing he did was put on that silly St. Nicholas hat and then went to his personal storage and removed the large metal keg and the small wooden keg which was stored with many others just like it. He was using a gravity dolly to move them around and was on his way to galley. They might as well have some good stuff for this celebration. The best was what he had for their most persnickety drinker on board and she would enjoy those bottles. Santa Jacob was going to give them all the gift of inebriation. It was a short lift ride to the galley deck and he was soon wheeling it all in and setting it up. He noticed that Ryuusei was there. Then you had both Felix and Freya, that was an odd couple. After that you had Chi. That was nice and off in the corner you had Setsuna...Lady Meioh. It must have grated on her to be reminded by being called Lady Meioh every chance he got. He tapped the keg, and then pounded a spout into the small wooden keg, and finally took the too bottles over and set them on Setsuna's table.
"As it is customary to present a gift to the lady of ship and the one who holds the highest rank here I give you two bottles of Plutoian Sunrise that was made on the date of your coronation as Queen of Pluto. I know you don't need the reminder but they are all I have and the best I have. Merry Christmas from Santa Jacob. Enjoy alone or with a friend, your choice."
He went off to the small wooden keg and set out glass tumblers for everyone and filled them all with two fingers of amber liquid. It was going to t be a good night. The food looked great and the place was actually calming him enough to relax. He hoped they didn't notice he was actually wearing a pair of nonmilitary pants, you could actually call them slacks and a button down shirt that was actually sort of festive. He smiled as he grabbed two glasses and took one over and took a seat with Setsuna. He set a glass down in front of her and nodded to her. He raised his glass and smiled. It actually wasn't a sneer but a real smile.
"Merry Christmas Setsuna."

Chi sighed as Ryuusei walked over to get some foods. There was too much to soak in to think about food right now. Her eyes widened as she saw the table of presents. She bounced over as her eyes scanned what was there. It looked like there were a couple of packages for each of them. She let out a squeal as it was the last thing she ever expected.
She looked as she noticed only a few others had joined them, one being the captain. Her jaw almost dropped as her aunt had made a rare appearance. She decided for now to let those two duel with words. She smiled as bounded over to Felix and Freya. She had one arm wrap around each of their necks for a hug. She was in a great mood and wanted to share even with the moodiest of all.
"Happy Yule! We have presents! And this is amazing!"

Setsuna watched as her niece bounced around. She chuckled under her breath as the young woman reminded her of her mother and grandmother. They both had a ton of energy for events like this. She remembered a time when Usagi got upset with Mamoru for giving their daughter a much better present for their shared birthday. It was a time that made most laugh as it was before the great freeze.
She took a seat in the corner as her eyes tilted to the ceiling. She became lost in thought as memories of the olden days rushed past. They were much simpler times. Oh how she wished for those days. There was no expansion of the solar system, no queens, and not peace missions to other systems. It was just on earth, fighting the forces of Chaos when they decided to show up.
Her eyes came down as she heard a clanging sound, her thoughts returning to the present. She wrinkled her nose slightly as the captain set up the keg. Of course, he had something special hidden away. There was reason to celebrate as their mission went as planned. They had gotten much needed supplies. She only hoped that trouble did not come from it. They did not need another to come after them.
As he approached the table with two bottles, she crossed her arms over her chest as her face kept the neutral look on it. She had not planned on staying long. It was their party and she had her own duty to do. She kept her breathing even as he gave his little speech. A very slight twitch formed under her eye as he called her lady, highest rank, and the date of her coronation. All three things that she would rather not be reminded of on a constant bases.
"Thank you, captain", came the tart reply.
She reached down beside her as she placed two carefully wrapped gifts on the table. As much as they detested each other, she was not about to leave him out of the festivities. It did amuse her that he was getting into the spirit of things. It would help the children as well. The hat almost seemed normal to have on.
What surprised her the most was that he returned to her table with a drink. He was going to force her to be a little social this evening. By the gods, she would play along for now. She look the glass as she smiled back at him. He looked nice with a genuine smile.
She clinked his glass with her own, "Happy Yule, Captain. I got you a little something. After all, even Santa Jacob needs to be recognized for his efforts."
She took a sip of the warm liquid as her eyes fluttered. It had been a long time since last she had this. It came from Jupiter. It was rare to have things from home. Almost made her wonder where he got it from.

Inbetween bites of food, Ryuusei would snatch a cracker pack from an ever-dwindling stack and pocket them...a habbit from the old days he'd yet to break. Eventually more people began to show; when Freya and Felix entered, Ryuusei waved at the pair. "Frey, Fe, sup?" Like Chi, they were also dressed nicely..something he asn't particularly bothered by as this was one of the rare occasions he could wear HIS uniform outside his quarters. His green eyes shifted down to the red tee and camo pants, a smirk crossed his face. (...Least I got the right colors...) The Captain arrived; dressed a bit ore casually, though with Ryuusei's pants; HE seemed more 'militaristic'. Ryuusei chuckled to himself at that notion. But what really got his attention, was Jacob referring to Setsuna as 'Queen of Pluto', his right eyebrow rose. (Didn't know we were entertaining royalty...) It could make for a good reference for after this gig was finished.
...It also made one wonder what OTHER surprises were in-store.

Mizuki didn't want to go but she would go because she had to be social and these people would one day follow her or so she was told by Jacob. His word was the one that mattered to her. He had saved them from death or a fate that could have been equated to death considering the person who had taken everything from her and her friends. She was dressed more casually and yes she could wear something besides beat of clothing and she actually let her hair down. She had showered and even brushed her hair instead just drying it and putting it up. She usually kept it in a tail or the style her mother used but modified. Her clothing was not what one would expect. She had actually found a dress that could be considered festive. It was a dress which wouldn't be expected by anyone. ( i.pinimg.com/originals/cb/d3/13/cbd3136d4db706af0ebc0cfc21cf7586.jpg - The top she is wearing. encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQsy7hv7yi1rvMhPnznmNMVb1My6mskDI1cqmp4dq1Qh_1SYjVF - the dress she is wearing. i.pinimg.com/originals/4e/cb/39/4ecb3968d607ff35fd8588d5ee31af91.jpg - the boots.) She saw that her sister, Freya, Felix, Jacob, Setsuna, and Ryuusei was here. It was starting to get a little crowded. She watched as Ryuusei kept eating and decided to replenish the crackers. She walked over to the replicator and had it make more and then took the nearly empty tray away and put the new one in place. After that she noted that booze had been brought and decided to get herself a tumbler and see what who else showed up as she walked over with her tumbler and started to make a plate for herself. She knew that this wasn't anything like the holiday parties she had attended in the palace. It was nice though and she was actually going to relax.

Ryuusei just realized he'd cleaned the cracker plate as a hand went to claim it. "...Guess I went a bit overboard there, eheheh." While his green eyes shifted toward the other person...only to catch sight of a beautiful girl with long pink hair, that had bits of blonde mixed in. For a moment there he wondered who she was, but then she returned to the table with more freshly replicated crackers. (Damn....Miss Military cleans up niiiiiiiice!) Before she left the table again, this time with her own plate of food, Ryuusei commented. "Hey, nice dress."

Mizuki didn't mind being helpful when there was a need and when she noticed that Ryuusei was staring just a bit it caused a small yet fleeting smile to grace her lips.
"It's fine. Hunger isn't something to be taken for granted. Just enjoy yourself. That is after all what this celebration is for, enjoyment of the moment and evening."
As she turned to walk away she heard his comment and she actually smiled as she turned to look at him. It seemed Ryuusei appreciated something other than BDUs. That was nice to know and since she didn't have much because she actually started to inhabit the situation she had to take a step back from the situation and enjoy herself. She looked over at Chi, waved and smiled at her, and then decided to try and guide Ryuusei nearer the mistletoe to see what he would do. That could be fun.
"Grab a drink and let's take a seat. Grazing is for cattle or the Tangs. I wouldn't mind a little non-work conversation and besides you can always tell me about your life before all this."
She would share as needed but she wanted to know about him right now.

Freya fussed over Felix as was proper of a girlfriend and she didn't mind fussing over him in this way. She felt it was something that he hadn't ever had done for him. She picked off a piece of lint that was on his lapel. She straightened his tie and beamed as she leaned into his muscled frame. This man excited her in ways no other man had ever done. It wasn't something she could identify but right now she was happy to be right here with him. They had plenty to celebrate. They lived and their comrades lived. They had each other but most of all she had looked up some customs of Mars that was appropriate for a holiday of this sort. You gave a weapon, mainly one you made, to the person you wished to have with you forever. She had set a small box, quite identifiable who wrapped it due to the pink and orange ribbon, and it all tied around a grenade pin. That would tell people who it was for and Felix would know. The weapons she had given him was a Venusian hand blade. It holstered in the sleeve and could be slipped into your hand. She had sharpened it to a point she could let its weight easily slide through paper or hair. She leaned in and agreed with him.
"Punch it is but I have something for you. I was going to give it to you later but I figured after seeing this a reading customs of your home it was appropriate now. I think you can see where it sits right now. I wrapped it."
She led him over to the punch bowl and poured them two glasses. She handed him his and realized it was non-alcoholic. That was fine because it seemed that when the captain came in he brought the alcohol with him. The night was young and they had so much to have fun with tonight.
